For the record, CLEVELAND WON! And Cliff Lee is doing very well. Now if only Sabathia follows suit, and Byrd stops with the homerballs, and THEY FIRE JOE BOROWSKI, all will be right in the world...

Havok who do the Indians got in the minors worth paying attention to? The Kinston Indians are only about 20 minutes away from me. I think last year Cliff pitched some rehab starts for them.
Also, Manny used to play there. Man I wish I got Manny's autograph while the getting was good.

Up in AA Akron, I'm really high on JD Martin (above average pitcher, should make a good relief guy some day), Michael Aubry (he's supposed to put up huge power numbers soon, only problem is he's 25, so he should be higher than he is now. It's one of those now or never kind of things) Trevor Crowe (Same with Aubrey, he's supposed to be STRONG!) Plus, in Buffalo (AAA), I'm HUGE on Francisco, Laffey, Miller, Sowers, and even though he's now in the majors, Jensen Lewis.

I go to Kinston games sometimes, and just didn't know if you knew any prospects I should keep an eye on. I really like to go when the Pelicans are in town. The Braves High-A team. I got to watch Salty and Elvis play a couple year ago.

A-Rod strikes out in the 9th. Who's surprised? *raises hand* Oh wait...no, I expected that all along *puts hand back down*

I can't remember if he plays for Lake County or Kinston, but there's a pitcher in A-ball named De la Cruz (can't remember the first name) who appears to be on the fast track. He's a big 6'5" lefthander with stuff similar to Fausto Carmona. And no, that doesn't mean he walks eight guys in four innings.

I just checked, he's not on the club. Apparently the Kinson manager and pitching coach just got called up to AA though, and the Lake County manager got called up to Kinston.

Speaking of monir league managers, how about the start that Gabe Kapler has gotten off to? This time last year he was managing in A-ball, and now he's the starting center fielder for the Brewers.

Boy, I hope this one start doesn't make you believe that The Amazing Buchholz™ is any better than Phil Hughes. What about his previous start where he went 3 innings and was killed? ;D

Didn't he coach and play somewhere in the minors? He was coaching one of the single-A affiliates for the Red Sox, the Greenville Drive. I always loved Kapler when he was with the Red Sox. Solid 4th OF and always gave 110%. Played the game like it was supposed to be played. He's got a terrific feel for the game, so he should make a solid manager when his playing career is over. Needless to say, I couldn't be happier that he's off to such a great start with the Brewers.

Gabe Kapler is a class act all the way, and I'd cheer for him wherever he went in the majors.

Yes, well... he's still miles ahead of Lester, so there, Lester picthed the clinching game of the world series Hughes did not. And Jeff Weaver pitched the clinching game of the 2006 WS. Doesn't say a whole lot about his career Lester still has a ways to go. He's got good stuff, but his control problems are really keeping him back.

I'm sick of Julio Lugo. Are there any teams out there willing to trade for a fast SS that can't bat, can't play defense, and makes $9 million per?

He beats the hell out of...his wife That's the last time he got a solid hit.
