Are Jake Long and Chris Long related? I don't think so. Chris is the one related to Howie.

Tomorrow, and no, the two Longs are not related. Chris is the son of Howie Long though.

Are Jake Long and Chris Long related? No. Chris Long is the son of Howie Long, HOF DE of OAK No. Tomorrow morning at 9:00AM CST edit well to ad something that hasn't been said in the last few posts Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - CB - Tennessee State is the cousin of San Diego DB/KR Antonio Cromartie. Apparently they just recently met.

I do like how you tried to get it close to team colors.

I do like how you tried to get it close to team colors. Yeah, the only colors I wanted to use blue for were Detroit, New York, and San Diego, but the navy looked too dark against the colors of the forum, so I ha to go with blue or their secondary color.

So... has anyone decided to grade their team's performance? All I know is that the Lions did bad. ESPN SportsNation gave our 1st round decision an F.

I'll give the Super Bowl champs a B.
We needed to get some replacements for our secondary.
Kinda wish they had taken Devin Thomas when the Jets just handed him to the entire field, but oh well.
And not to be a douchebag, but I give the Eagles a D- for the their first day draft. The only reason they don't get an 'F' is because they took Desean Jackson

So... has anyone decided to grade their team's performance? Well, I was a bit upset at the Eagles giving up their first round draft pick, as I'd bought into the media that they'd trade Lito for a better first round pick. Although, looking at the draft talent this year... I guess it's not a bad move. Sure, there's some good linemen, but outside of that... not so much, especially WR's which is what the Iggles need. DeSean Jackson shouldn't hurt... and I knew Reid would go D with his first pick. Especially after snagging a QB last season. Sorta hope we can get a good WR and FS soon, though. Although, the FS I can hold out on... Injuries or not, Dawkins is still my favorite Eagle.

Funny you say that, as a Redskins fan I feel like we got the steal of the draft with Devin Thomas. I'm not sold on the kid from Southern Cal at TE as Cooley has that locked down and Malcolm Jenkins is there for height and depth. I feel like it was a good move to move down with the Falcons and I can only hope tomorrow works out fine

I actually like Philly's draft. Laws will be great in Philly's system, but Desean Jackson strikes me as an undersized WR/KR who is extremely raw right now and has shown he doesn't go over the middle or respond well to physical play. He does, however, have a ton of natural talent, so he may shake out.
Philly's Grade: B
Washington's draft baffles me. Thomas is a player, but has only a single year of production to show to his name. Kelly is big, but extremely slow and has injury and attitude concerns, but I guess that's what they wanted. Davis is another one dimensional TE and should've been a luxury pick, especially with Cooley hanging around (even if he is an H-Back). Games are won in the trenches, and with Groves, Laws and Merling all on the board when the Skins drafted, going all offense doesn't seem very sound, especially with their trenches on both side of the ball as poor as they currently are.
Washington's Grade: C+
Cowboys were solid, but I think they let Jerry Jones put on the Razorback blinders instead of drafting the best player available. Mendenhall could have been an every down player for them, even though he's not a compliment player to MB3 (who I like, but don't think he's a feature back anyway you dice it). Felix Jones is a pure athlete, but I really think Ray Rice and even Steve Slaton are comparable to him and where he should be drafted if we're looking at the running back position alone, and Rice went mid-2nd round. This move wreeks of Stephen Jackson. Jenkins was a solid pick, no argument there. Did not like the Bennett pick, but with Fasano gone, the idea of the pick makes sense, just not in love with the player.
Dallas' Grade: B+
I wasn't sold on the Giants draft at first, but it follows Jerry Reese's formula: Take players who have fallen due to injuries or other related concerns and get great value for them, allowing they return to form. It's why Kiwanuka is on the team (despite Osi, Strahan and even Tuck being on the team) and it's why the Giants picked who they did. Phillips seems to be a strong athlete with great size and, let's face it, the safety position was a major need. Thomas threw me off for a minute, but the one thing the Giants lacked was size and physical presence in the cornerback position, often struggling against bigger receivers. Pop in a tape of the NFC Championship game and watch Corey Webster try to jam Driver at the line and get thrown like a rag doll out of the way. Not sexy picks, but considering secondary was the major question mark of the Giants defense, these picks should hopefully shore up that unit and make it strong overall. No Shockey trade, but they weren't going to give him away despite how much NO tried to lowball them.
Giants' Grade: B
