The Bankees just won over the White Sox 6-4. If Javier Vazquez didn't decide to hang up a meatball to Johnny Damon four years back, he wouldn't have got the beating he got tonight. I just heard White Sox announcer Hawk Harrelson in full for the first time... Even John Sterling becomes Vin Scully in comparison to that guy.

Maddux has needed just 61 pitches to get through 6, gunning for his 350th win. Up 1-0.
EDIT: Comes out for a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the 7th... I know he doesn't pitch very deep into games anymore, but I was hoping he'd go for the CG, or at least another inning. Only about 75 pitches in 7.

I'm done with the f***ing Rangers and supporting them. I"m embarrassed to be a fan. The team has gone from being irrelevant to downright sucky. Even when we had Nolan, Palmeiro, Sierra, Franco, Juan Gone, Pudge, Canseco, etc. we couldn't get the job done. What a pathetic team.

Happy 10,000th!! Mike Fontenot scores in the 10th for the win, but it represents a lot more for the Cubs. (Getty Images)

Thank God they blacked out our ESPN feed. (Sox were home and on Comcast Sports Net.) The only dumb think Ken said was "And, to you Cubs fans, they're getting underway right now in Colorado on Comcast Sports Net Plus."

Mets won 7-2 as the offense finally seemed to wake up for a change. With the exception of that fluke Tim Redding 2 RBI hit, Santana looked good. His K:BB ratio is a little over 5:1

You know what is great about being a Pirate fan?
You don't have to worry about the playoffs cause you're too busy rooting for a .500 season.
Daggone it, WIN!

Know what else is great about being a Pirates fan? When your favorite player becomes a star, you can still cheer for them when they're playing for a better team.
