With Bruney done for the year, it's Billy Traber's time to shine in NY! If Traber does good for the Yanks, that may be the death of me ;D

Rangers placed RHP Luis Mendoza on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 24, with an inflamed shoulder. It hasn't been announced yet, but it looks like Sidney Ponson will be brought up on Saturday to replace Mendoza in the rotation. Just when I think i've seen the worst of Rangers pitching. Isn't John Patterson healthy yet? Damn it!

Indians running rampant on the basepaths against the Yankees. Three stolen bases makes it 28 allowed by the Yanks already.

Ok, make Anderson the 1B now.
He's Lou Gehrig compared to Deglado.

Teams should be running on them every chance they get. I'm just surprised the Indians are actually using the running game. Last year in the minors, Asdrubal Cabrera stole 25 bases. In the two months he was with the Indians, he stole NONE. Eric Wedge has three guys that could legit steal 30 bases, yet he never utilizes them to their potential.

Ellsbury has yet to be caught stealing at the ML-level, but I don't think Francona lets him run enough. Three guys on this team are major base-stealing threats (Lugo, Ellsbury, Crisp) but I don't see the speed get utilized all that much. At least not as much as I would hope/expect.

I mean, just because you have three slugs in the middle of your lineup doesn't mean you have to shut down the running game.

Can someone tell the Mets that you have to hit the little white thing that goes by them?
BTW, put Sanchez back in the 8th inning slot. He's back to normal.

Has anyone ever noticed how much Kelly Johnson looks like Chipper in the batters box?

Tigers lose 4-3. Oh well. After the start we got off to, the fact that we're only three games out of first place in the Central is awesome. We recovered nicely, and our offense has been on track.
