Anybody else watching the Friday the 13th 1 thru 3 marathon on Chiller? These ones are awesome. I watched parts one and two from my boxset yesterday, I might check out three again today. The first one was actually really scary, the second one was pretty laughable, and the third one was a little of both.

You know what "Jason" spelled backwards is? "Nosaj." ...I'll go now.

Off topic, but why the "F" does Johnny the Bull have red "Blood" on his chest?? Are we to believe he just off'ed a baby horse, and drank his blood for sustenance?? GAH!!

Of course Jason films have played pretty fast and loose with it's own history since the first one, so a reboot of whatever doesn't seem all that different from just another sequel.

I was reading that the end of part 1 where jason pulls the chick under what was just a hallucination. That true? I always thought it was suppossed to have really happened. If it really happened then I'm confused how he went from a little kid to a full grown man in the 5 year gap storyline wise between 1 and 2. From watching 2 now they make it seem like he never drowned and watced his mom die in 1, setting him off. If that's the case though then there was no reason for the mom to kill everybody in 1.

I believe the first three endings were "hallucination" endings. Also, parts 7, 8, and I believe 9 (originally).

Only if she knew her son was really alive. Which, it would seem she didn't.

Only if she knew her son was really alive. Which, it would seem she didn't. Which kind of makes you wonder what Jason was up to during those 20 years, he apparently loves his mother enough to keep her head on an alter and kill people to avenge her, but not enough to tell her he was alive for the past 2 decades.

man, this is one remake I'm actually getting excited about. The mask looks perfect! I also love the "Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake" sign. it's the same one as from the first movie. Hopefully they'll take a page out of Rob Zombie's page and use at least some original music along with the classic "ch ch ch ch ah ah aha" sound.

Part 5 was entire hallucination movie. I wish... EDIT: Hell, I'll say the same for part six, as well.

why does everyone hate part 5 so much? just cause it wasn't the "real" Jason doesn't mean it wasn't a good movie. At the time it had the highest body count and some really creative death scenes. Also that really cool black dude who had the van and the fine ass g/f.

The only Jason movie I hated was part 3,and that was cause of the lame ass 3-d stuff they needed to do.

While I understand the tunnel thing, and it does make sense, I'm still not holding my breath about this one. I checked the IMDB entry for the movie, and they list Pamela Vorhees as a rumored character, so there is a good chance she will pop up, more than likely controlling Jason to carry out the killings (I kinda hope).
The upside is, the F13 movies have always been about pretty, stupid kids getting killed, so it's going to take a herculean effort to screw this up, and Nispel did some justice by TCM.

She will be in the movie, Nana Visitor (Major Kira in Star Trek DS9) is playing her...

I really don't care either way I never liked the first movie...it seems that Mrs. Voorhees didn't have a problem killing anyone except for the last girl which made it look pretty halfassed that she can kill all these people without them putting up a fight or running away, but the last girl, no matter how many times she smurfed up that she got away. That's because she was savoring it. Who's to say Jason wasn't the one killing everyone, anyways? You never see the killer until the very end. A lot of people who have no point of reference for the series think it's Crazy Ralph doing all the murdering.

Which one did Alice Cooper do the music for? Seems to me, part 6?
