No, but there is a VEAL. Also, I would like to comment on the previous statement that basically equivlated eating meat = obese, not eating meat = not. That's such an uninformed idea it's crazy. To make quick points to get in and out of this thread, it's not eating meat or not, it's how much you eat and how it's cooked. I have a vegatarian friend that was 300lbs because he ate so much fried stuff and other bad for you stuff. Also, people were eating meat SOOOOOOOO LOOOOOOONG before the "obesity epedemic". Sorry to hijack, but I don't believe a word of the so-called "Obesity Epidemic". Let's stop trying to blame everyone and everything but ourselves and call it what it really is. It's a God Damn Laziness Epidemic.

It's a God Damn Laziness Epidemic. All vegetarian propaganda aside, I concur. But besides Americans becoming lazy and sedantary, I would add horrible eating habits (which include meat AND non-meat culprits).

We as a people have gotten to the point where we eat to often, we eat to big a portions, we don't balance what we eat, and we eat tons of processed and deep fried foods. I'm guilty of it myself.

I guess I'm lucky, as I don't really gain much weight no matter what I eat.

Sodium will make you retain water and look bloated and raise blood pressure.
Too much sugar can lead to diabeetus.
Not enough fruits/veggies can lead to nutrient and vitamin deficiencies.

I think its funny that we have so much food that we can choose entire types of food not to eat. I'm just imagining going to one of the starving African villages, telling them about this little debate, and watching them sob softly to themselves. Then I'll tell the one about how outraged we are about gas prices and that we sometimes use the corn we would have maybe sent them to put in our SUVs. We live in a wacky world.

On the bright side, at least entropy will eventually bring about the end of all life and the universe itself. So we got that going for us.
