According to the RIAA, everything is piracy.
Singing in the shower? Piracy.
Singing a lullabye to a baby? Piracy.
Going to a school dance? Piracy.
My hope is that someone puts the hammer down on them someday. But seeing as it's a private organization, I don't see that happening.

Yeah, it'll be like the Madballs cartoon. Music will be banned everywhere by the evil overlord, but one band will play on and we'll have an underground resistance to protect them and go to all their shows. Like this? youtube.com/watch?v=RdlJs3N_5gY

Singing in the shower? Piracy. I'd kill to see this enforced, forcefully. Only public domain songs in the shower from now on kids.

O.K. now these jackballs are just grasping at straws. I'm just waiting for the day the RIAA has police officers driving around the city and instead of responding to an armed robbery at a nearby bank they're shutting down 3 little girls playing double dutch and singing Miss Mary Mack nextdoor after that they'll book some 90 year old grandmother for singing itsy bitsy spider to her grandkid.

BOLLOCKS!!!
i officially hate people. art is art. you shouldn't have to pay for it. how does the amount of money i have make any difference to what right i have to listen to music? it makes no difference. the whole idea of having to pay for any form of expression is based on the idea that rich people deserve it more. which is crap. the radio is a place where anyone should be able to hear something, regardless of if they're the queen or hobo joe. and it's not like the music industry is at a loss for money. i take it if a song is played on the radio instead of being sold in the shops then simon cowell is gonna go broke?
smurf everyone. seriously.

I thought paying for music was because the people who made it deserved compensation so they only had to have music as a career?
The problem is there are so many middle men, that the artists only get a meager percent in many cases.

They're already doing that. Instead of going after actual music pirates, the RIAA sues housemothers and college teens because they will just settle and won't fight it. It's greed, pure and simple.

BOLLOCKS!!! i officially hate people. art is art. you shouldn't have to pay for it. how does the amount of money i have make any difference to what right i have to listen to music? Because the art is made with the intention of selling it? Look, I think what the RIAA does is total BS, but that doesn't mean you should be expecting all art to be free. I see actual pirates use this as an excuse all the time. If the artist doesn't intentionally release their work for free, then you have no right to expect not to have to pay for it. Enjoying someone's art is a luxury, not a right.
