I recently just bought the best of 2007 WWE Issue, and I was reading it at work today, and I just noticed something.
On page 51, there is a page called "It's a Trap" and it's a look at the "6 most painstaking finishers with seemingly no way out".
Well they have the following moves:
John Cena's "STFU" Brett Hart's "Sharpshooter" Ric Flair's "Figure Four Leg Lock" Rick Martel's "Boston Crab" Iron Sheik's "Camel Clutch"
which are all submission holds, but here's one they put it as a submission hold:
Mr. Perfect's "Perfect-plex"
Now last time I checked, the Perfect-Plex wasn't a submission hold.
Here's is their explanation for the hold:
"Famously known for being nearly impossible to escape. Perfect's finisher ensnared legends like Bret Hart, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan. If you found yourself in Mr. Perfect's grasp, you had 2 choices: Tap out or pray for mercy."
Thoughts?

Yeah...not even close to a finisher.
It's a suplex with a bridged pin...are you sure they listed it AS a submission?

The best part of this WWE Magazine thing is that in the picture of Hennig doing the move, the REFEREE IS SEEN COUNTING A PIN!!!
These people are morons.

Whenever something like this happens, I just like to blame it on Michael Cole. That idiot.

It's just moves people can't get out of, and the Perfect Plex was a hard maneuver to get out of. There is nothing about submissions on the page, except for the fact that the other 5 are. But it clearly is about moves that opponents cannot escape from.

That screams for an explanation of a submission hold...not a PINNING MOVE

Yes, one: That's a rather odd use of the word "painstaking."

the Perfect Plex was booked as inescapable. Hogan was the first person to kick out of it and they made a huge deal about it.

To answer the question, no WWE Magazine is not run by monkeys. If it were it'd might be worth reading.

When you said the page was called 'It's a Trap' I thought you meant they were doing an article on Chyna.

To answer the question, no WWE Magazine is not run by monkeys. If it were it'd might be worth reading. WWE Mag isn't that bad(as long as you stay away from the straight wrestling articles). And whoever puts it together seems to LOVE Kendrick and London(which is A-OK with me. They're my favorite tag team current), as they seem to get there own feature every month. In last months issue, they seriously had more pictures than Cena did.

I liked the old format they had with the magazine with long articles in it. Now it sucks except for the special ones like the end of the year's ones are alright, and the Raw 15th anniversary one is cool too.
Oh, and monkeys rule!!! It's those damn dirty apes that you have to watch out (I'm sorry about that. I had "Planet of the Apes" on while typing this).
