Of course it didn't top Snuka's...
Superfly did it 25 years ago, in the days when a suplex was a deadly move... Different times, different standards.

For the record, Jeff HAS paid his dues as a wrestler, including getting stiffed by Scott Hall at one point in the early days of his career. But why let facts get in the way of a lack of rational thought? You're a little late on the conversation. Even though he got stiffed (Good for Hall) it didn't give him the initiative to go get trained and learn his craft. To each there own and he has made it far on very little talent. Because you've scouted Jeff's entire wrestling career... What do you mean he hasn't paid his dues? He's been wrestling for a Decade, has wrestled over the globe, has fueded with the best in the business and has gotten himself over in his own way... and you don't think atleast one guy worked stiff on him to 'prove' that Jeff 'has it'? Plus him and his brother train other talent, he has to have a rough idea what he's doing.

I honestly feel that Matt's legdrop off the cage onto Edge was more impressive. I expected him to stand 3 inches shorter after that.

one main problem with this. I hate it when guys are on the top of the cage then jump back in. you could all the pyscology spins on that you want and it still doesn't make sense. now if orton sarted to shake the chage causeing hardy to fall and pull out the witw as a last desperation it would have made more sense. If you were in shark infested water would you jump back in after you were almost out? Like a poster said earlier, at that stage, Orton was stalking him on the outside, and realistically he would be defensless if he were to climb down. So he decided to finish Umaga off and win it that way so if Orton were to go after him, he's be ready for it. Jeff hardy - "no I can't jump down and win the match, Orton might get me." "I think I'll jump down and land on my back to keep the match going" no sense

And the way Randy was caught on camera afterwards (kind of a shocked rage/fear) I think reinforces that. That's just my interpretation of it.

"People disagree with me, therefore they're saying I don't have a right to my opinion! Help, help, I'm being oppressed!" You haven't got the "mod" PMs I've gotten, so yeah I wont say anything else. Geez, no offence but in youre posts you make it out that you would beat up Jeff Hardy then torch his house simply because hes not youre idea of a wrestler Ok so you stepped in the ring, doesn't mean to say you are an authority on all things wrestling, it doesn't work that way, you, in fact sound like Ric Flair when he slated guys like Randy Savage and Foley in his book because they didn't fit in with his image of how a wrestler should be, variety is the name of the game I suggest you hunt down the DVD "From the Backyard to the Bigtime" it will tel you things that will make you reconsider youre opinon of him, bear in mind that WWE hired both Hardys before they even had any proper training, they both ran..yes..ran a wrestling company for years, promoting it, setting up the ring..the works..even pulling multiple shifts in the ring in one night, all before hey signed with the WWE so NEVER..EVER make out that those boys don't deserve the sucess and praise they get..never

Jeff is The intercontinental champion, and the title was on the line. Jeff was going to escape over the cage and win the match, instead of going through the door, because Randy blasted him with the door the last time. When Jeff reached the top of the cage, Orton was there, not to just "beat him up", but to actually stop him from winning the match, thus, loosing the title. After all, that's what Randy was there to do, cost Jeff the match, you could tell by the way Orton was going crazy every time Jeff almost caught a break to win the match.
Jeff wanted to win the match and keep his Intercontinental title.
Jeff couldn't go out the door, because Orton would stop him
Jeff couldn't go over the cage, because Orton would stop him.
Jeff had to pin Umaga or make him submit in order to keep the title.
Jeff can't over power Umaga.
Jeff can't make Umaga submit.
Jeff can fly through the air to hurt Umaga.
Jeff was trapped on top of the cage at the last second, what was he going to do, climb down the other side of the cage anyway so Orton can hold him allowing Umaga to escape through the door? What else was he going to do, just climb back down the cage inside the ring to a virticle Umaga?
No
After being trapped when initially trying to win the match, Jeff dove off the cage and pinned Umaga.
There.

The title wasn't on the line Well, sinse I was there, I heard over and over agian during the commercial breaks when Lillian got on the microphone and kept announcing that the title was on the line. mabe either her or the announcers on TV messed up. Besided, the point is the same anyway, you can only win or loose a cage match.
