Hopefully it will remain in some way shape or form. I was under the impression that JC was part owner of OVW. Is that still true? No he sold his part to the WWE last year because they didn't want him affliated with TNA and owning a developmental territory

Yeah, OVW will continue, probably just an upgraded version of Derby City Wrestling.
That place brings me some good memories...when Paul Heyman booked it, the material was simply classic. Plus, when I first got into my smart-markiness in middle school, I always followed OVW, then felt cool when some one would debut on TV and I could tell everybody everything there was to know about that person.
I wish WWE would still let the Developmental Companies released DVDs of their TVs. Once OVW couldn't release shows, I lost interest.

Im looking for it. I found it the first time, then they deleted it, then I found it under a different name. Dude, I freakin' lost it when I found out they got deleted. If you can find 'em, PLEASE post them. Those were great, but I think my favorite OVW vignette by far was Robbie Dawber complaining about something to Osama (Armando), which ultimately led to some sort of bizarre slap-fight between Dawber and the Highlanders.... ("HOO-KYAAAA, Rory, ya wee-armed fairy, that's not how you slap a man!!!")

Between the non contract guys and the Derby City guys, they have plenty of people to fill out a roster with. I'm just wondering if the title holders will job their titles or they'll just vacat them all and essentuiially start over It'd be great to see Danny just strip everyone of their titles and shoot on McMahon and the WWE, but I doubt he wants to burn that bridge. Not for the sake of his boys. Why would it be great for him to shoot on the WWE? Just to add another person to the long list of crybabies and whiners about how the big bad WWE and McSatan wronged them by running a business. WAH WAH WAH.

I would have also chimed in on that anti Louisville remark but truth be told the Davis Arena IS in Newburg, which is probably the worst area of town that isn't the West End.

Haven't been following the News lately, so this legit shocked me. OVW has been a feeder for quite a bit now.

Will WWE keep the OVW tape library? I know they bought it a year or so ago; the promotion's logo can be seen on the Territories map on WWE 24/7.

Along with that group, they also produced guys like:
Kurt Angle Brock Lesnar Rico Tank Toland Cryme Tyme Eugene Rob Conway The Basham Brothers La Resistence Heidenreich Matt Morgan The Spirit Squad Brent Albright Luther Reigns Chris Masters Muhammad Hassan The Heart Throbs Aarron Stevens Rodney Mack Jackie Gayda Salians Maven Nidia Tomko Eric Angle
And stars that honed their skills or spend time there were:
Big Show Mark Henry Sean O'Haire Mark Jindrak Nigel McGuinness Jamie Knoble Joey Mercury Nova Bull Buchanon ODB Daffney David Flair Shark Boy Too Cold Scorpio Mikey Batts Rosey Kaz Gangrel Kenzo Suzuki Danny Doring Roadkill/Antoni Polaski Ace Steel Cassidy Reily Kid Kash Kanyon Daniel Puder Slash/Wolfie D Vito Teddy Hart Angelina Love Christy Hemme Team 3D The APA Billy Gunn Kane
Man, the list they could probably put on there now. It's a surprise WWE would let them go in the first place.
I'm probably missing a few, but what a list. Now, some are stars in ROH and TNA too. I think both companies would be completely foolish if they didn't want to associate themselves in someway with Danny Davis and OVW. I mean, both the World Champions of ROH and TNA have wrestled for OVW, and the TNA Champion was trained there. Danny Davis is literally the Trainer of Champions. 12 current TNA talent and 5 current ROH talent (3 regular) were in OVW, and either helped out or learned something from Danny Davis.

So pretty please, with sugar on it, go smurf a goat.

Maybe this could be an opportunity for Cornette to come back and use OVW as a feeder fed for TNA. OVW joins TNA!? Mike Tenay: Oh my God, Don! It's WVO!!!! What's he doing here!? Don West: Wasn't he...she...it recently in WWE!? I wonder if WVO will have any harsh words for its former employer! Vince Russo: Put the title on WVO, stat! Jeff Jarrett: Now wait just a minute, Vince! Not until I get my 1,000th shot!

Thing is, they have been talking about using ECW as a developmental brand for a while. And why not? Why run a developmental organisation such as DSW or OVW, which has limited revenue or TV coverage when they can use a nationally or even globally syndicated fed to develop new talent.
Although that would smack of paying full price for less than fully developed product, but Vince would never rip the fans off now, would he?

It's weird, because I've actually found more funny stuff in OVW than in the WWE in general lately. I'm thinking when you're that far from Vince's reach, you tend to loosen up a bit more and become more outgoing. It's going to be frighetening to see what WWE does with Colt.

Although that would smack of paying full price for less than fully developed product, but Vince would never rip the fans off now, would he? The supposed talk wasn't of using it as an OVW type developmental brand though. The idea was to use it as a bridge between OVW/FCW and the two big shows. It's not like they were planning on putting an OVW level roster out there, just loading it up with some of the guys who didn't need to be in developmental any longer, but either weren't quite ready for a featured role on one of the other two shows, or that they wanted to familiarize the audience with before bumping them into a role on either SD! or Raw. Even if they went in the direction of a youth movement on ECW to develop a bunch of young talent, they'd still need to have somewhere like FCW around as a developmental territory to train guys.

I know this is a joke, but I think TNA would benefit from trying to make OVW a developmental territory. Number one, if Cornette could get back in with Danny Davis it'd be easy. Two, they already have an established television show and fan base. I think if TNA were smart they'd jump at this opportunity and try to use OVW.

It's going to be frighetening to see what WWE does with Colt. Frighteningly awesome! I almost hope he gets a Wrestlecrappy gimmick, because I swear he could make it work. The only thing they could do bad with him is give him a dead-serious ass-kicker gimmick...and even then he'd probably play it in such a way that it would be hilarious.

Too bad, so much talent was developed in OVW but it's been pretty obvious this was going to happen for a while now. Yeah, but not good talent. The current generation of "Superstars", many of whom came from OVW, are seriously lacking in the fundamentals of the business. I'm happy WWE is attempting to go somewhere else to recruit the next generation of preformers
