Shane vs. Vince
TLC II
Chyna vs. Ivory
Jericho vs. Regal
All of those were long builds. And several of the other marquee matches (Austin vs. Rock II, UT vs. HHH, Benoit vs. Angle) had solid builds anyway.

~I guess it depends on what you mean by "thrown together".
i said it in another post, but the only ones to recieve a substantial build were Austin/Rock, Chyna/Ivory, and TLC 2.
The rest of the card was thrown together in 3 weeks.
HHH said he was going to end Taker's streak, and we got the match.
I'm the revisionist? HHH NEVER said that. Right after No Way Out, HHH's was saying how he beat Austin, the #1 contender, and he was being left out of the WWF Title match and how it wasn't fair. He blathered about "I've beaten everyone in this company", and UT came out and said "You haven't beaten me."
So ... a logical build that springs from previous booking. Yeah, it's not three months worth of build, but it HAD build.
Angle/Benoit wanted to see who was the better one "once and for all" at wrestlemania, challenge laid out on I think 2 smackdowns before Wrestlemania.
No, it was laid out several weeks before WrestleMania. Very early March, at the latest. Angle was complaining about being left out (similar to HHH's, but without the beaten-everybody boasting), and Benoit came out. Again, logical build from the previous months of booking.
McMahon/McMahon was made on Smackdown on the eve of Wrestlemania in one promo segment, with Foley announced as special referee.
This was built up for MONTHS, starting with the going senile/Charles Foster Kane era of Vince at the end of 2000, which led to the divorce from Linda angle. After that, Linda got committed and Vince started banging Trish, and Shane attacked Vince to launch their angle. That built up for weeks on end. Foley being thrown in was last-minute, but the match was HARDLY thrown together.
Seriously ... do you include the angles that LEAD to the matches as part of it, or do you only count the build-up when the match is announced?

~Jericho/Regal didn't have a LONG build, but it wasn't "thrown together".
