The one that first comes to mind is Batista "getting Ariel fired" for not sleeping with him.

I remember a couple of years ago when the Rock first started going Hollywood. There was a website saying Sting was going to face him at WM19. There was alot of talk about that, it was all over the 'net. And if I'm not mistaken that was one of the times WWE actually DID contact Sting to try and get him to sign. Just cuz the match didn't happen doesn't mean the rumour was BS.

Orlando Jordan bisexual gimmick. Why is that one so hard to believe? I thought it was pretty much common knowledge that the guy is legitimately Bi. Anyone who saw his My Space knows what I'm talking about. I could have sworn that Jordan also confirmed that he pitched the gimmick to Vince in an interview a while back. I'm too lazy to do a google search for it at the moment, but I believe it was around the time when OJ had actually become a pretty popular interview, as Kanyon had claimed OJ was fired for being bi and people wanted to get Jordan's reaction.

Sting at wrestlemania 19 through 24 Like I said above, I don't really count that. I've never seen it reported that Sting is contracted to be a WM, but WWE HAS attempted to sign him every year for a WM match. They have called him numerous times, he's confirmed it numerous times. WWE wants Sting

I remember shortly after Eddie Guerrero's death, there was some newz about someone being on deathwatch. This subject made its way here and became so hot and controversial that Madison had to ban any further discussion.
Opps, I probably shouldn't have mentioned it.

Yeah....Given the information that came out since then, I could probably give you a really good guess as to who that was.

Speaking of OJ. I remember reading a report here that someone said that RVD once got so high that he thought he was a Glass Of Orange Juice. And some people even believed this was true! Yes they would believe this but won't believe that Vince Russo booked all the crap in WCW and TNA.

Come on, I once got so stoned I thought I was a can of V8. Granted, I couldn't convince anyone to drink me, so I just sat there for like three days, but still.

That CM Punk got heat for wearing a fur coat a year or so ago.
The first two pages were about how stupid that was (believing it) and then someone said "This is stupid" and everyone jumped on that bandwagon.
Also the various points within 2006 and 2007 in which it was CONFIRMED~! that ECW was going to be axed.

After Triple H got injured last year, throwing the main event plans into disarray, Vince was ready to bring in LEX LUGER to head up a new nWo.
I saw this on a link to a NEWZ site.

Interestingly enough, the person you're thinking about wasn't the person everyone thought was on death watch. He went on to work for the competition.
