Obviously someone didn't read that Flair was omitted from the HOF due to his current employers. I'd be curious to find out how that main event turned out.

Flair was still gonna be inducted, he just wouldn't be there to accept the award.

Sounds like a decent card, I also wonder how the main event went, was it a good match? I guess the NWA just decided not to induct him since he couldn't be there.

So whats worse for the NWA, that Ric Flair was pullled from the HOF ceremony or that the their World Champion was taking part in a tag match for another federations PPV?
They made such an issue about pulling the belt from Christian and cutting ties with TNA and yet this happens. Now if the fact that Pearce had the Belt at the PPV leads to a angle and gets them publicity that would be something different.

They made such an issue about pulling the belt from Christian and cutting ties with TNA and yet this happens. Now if the fact that Pearce had the Belt at the PPV leads to a angle and gets them publicity that would be something different. I guess its all in how you look at it. Losing Ric Flair from the show definitely stings because Flair could lend his credibility to the NWA. Which makes the entire show seem more authentic and "big time" But because Flair being pulled off the show, it garnered a ton of free publicity for the NWA. All the wrestling websites were talking about the show. Pearce appearing in PA instead of GA, was calculated. Pearce knew he was booked for ROH for a while now. And apparently is involved in a storyline where he'll be showcasing his title on a PPV audience. Ring of Honor is on Pay Per View. Pearce is a contracted wrestler for ROH. But Pearce is also very much involved in the NWA. So although both situations could appear to be bad, but I think in the end both situations benefited the NWA.

I wonder what the actual attendance was. Last I heard, they had sold less than 2000 tickets and were giving away four tickets for free (floor seating, too I believe) at Aarons.
EDIT: This is also from PWInsider:
On Friday, Dave Meltzer reported tickets sales at 491 with 2400 free tickets out for the show. Apparently, most of those freebies got used because the crowd was 2500-3000 in a building set up for 6000.
As inconceivable as it seems, there was no induction ceremony for Ric Flair. My understanding from NWA Executive Director Bob Trobich is they somehow forgot. The NWA must have some mighty powerful stuff going on in the old unconscious in the aftermath of WWE pulling Flair from the show.
The show opened with a video message from Adam Pearce, the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Pearce said he had obligations to fulfill in Philadelphia (for ROH). He invited the fans to take a trip down memory lane, as the NWA’s thank you to Atlanta.
