He's been supposedly groomed to be World Champion for almost the past two years. I think at this point it doesn't really matter, they've dropped the ball with him countless times and he's went from being one of my favorite wrestlers from his RoH and early TNA days to being someone I don't really care about anymore.

I find it funny how people go "He should have gotten the title way back when" when some of the more celebrated title wins (Benoit, Eddie, Homicide) took a LONG time to do. i don't getwhy things like Joe not winning, or Nigel not winning, or anyone else not winning is apparently "too late''.

It's too late because Joe is nowhere near as hot as he was 2 years ago.

He should have gotten it early 2006 when he was still an unstoppable monster heel.

Sad to say it. but I think his time has passed. I mean I'm sure eventually he'll still have a nice little run as champion, probably drop it back to Kurt later on. That period in June-November of 2006 was their best window and they not only slammed it shut, but they nailed it down and spray painted over the glass. He's not nearly as over now as he was then. All the best, hopefully they'll prove me wrong. Indeed, I'll always feel that TNA screwed Joe in favor of Angle. They chose a short term pop over long term gains. Basically they decided to live in the past represented by Angle, as opposed to push towards the future represented by Joe. All I can say, is what a shame.

I've liked the Joe/Nash thing, it's obviously working toward putting Joe over as a main-eventer. They CAN rebuild him you know. They have the technology.

Give Joe some momentum and then I'll care.

Not hardly. I'll believe Joe as champ when I see it, and when I do, I just hope it doesn't fall flat or anything. I also don't want to see Joe as a goofy face or cocky like the Rock, Joe is good as one character and that's an unstoppable tough SOB who doesn't whine or complain.

He should switch to lacrosse. Or a paddleball game for a change of pace. Cuz really, that, an ashtray, a remote control, a lamp, a magazine, this chair, and some matches is all he needs. I hope I'm not the only one who got this.

Before they do it, they really need to fully reestablish Joe's vicious streak. Joe worked as the "franchise face" in ROH; he was THE champ, so he could do no wrong.
But TNA isn't ROH; Joe needs to be reestablished as a one man wrecking crew, and while the "complaining" gimmick started slow, I've actually liked a couple of the things they've had him do recently, so I have some hope.
That said, I thought I heard Christian was being primed to get the belt? I won't believe either until one of them happens.

What I wanted for Joe was to have him get a year long build for the belt with the Kurt Angle feud. My hope, and I guess, if I was booking, was to stretch out the Joe/Angle feud for a year and have only 3 matches between the two. Of course, it would start off as friendship, partners here and there, common enemies, and maybe even a run at the tag team belts. Then just slowly build up to the first match which Angle wins.
So Joe then has to prove to himself that he can beat a name star like Kurt Angle. He does so on the second try, but it might be by odd circumstances or whatever, but still keeping Joe face, and hopefully having Angle be heel. At the next pay per view, Kurt Angle would win the belt, so that he could drop the belt to Joe at Bound for Glory in their 3 meeting. I think now, they could try to start over with Joe now, and it could work out. Time will tell.
