Samoa Joe is currently being groomed for the TNA World Title. They are working on the right timing for Angle to drop the title, which is why they have been holding off on singles title matches for Joe.
Does anyone even care anymore? I mean I love Joe and all and I think he would be a great champ, but they have devalued him so much that I don't even think a title win could help him now. Its too little too late.
Geez, usually a company only kills someone's heat when they leave, not when they're the face of the company.

I agree Joe's character has totally been killed these past six months. It would make more sense now to either put the strap on Tomko, or even back on Christian for a time.

He should have gotten it early 2006 when he was still an unstoppable monster heel.

Hence the term groomed. If youve watched it theyve teased a Nash-Joe feud/partnership. And he's been more fierce lately, destroying everything. I agree he's been watered down but thats what happens in wrestling. Thats why there used to be territories. If they had WWE time and money Joe could take a vacation and come back "renewed". But they dont.

A Joe/Tomko feud would be interesting.. a neat scenario IMO would be all the problems Joe/Cornette are having are a smokescreen for Corny to place Joe into the title hunt where it looks like Jim's against everything he does.. only to help out with a well placed tennis racket, or something, letting the world know that Joe's been 'his guy' all along. Then have a feud with a face Tomko.
I'd like it anyway.

Joe doesn't need to be groomed. He should of had the title at LEAST 2 years ago!

As sad as this sounds, I'll believe it when I see it. I've been waiting to see Joe get the belt since the summer of 06, and I don't feel it's going to happen any time soon.
(Mind you if my brother was posting in this forum he would start going FREE JOE! FREE JOE!) This would continue for about 800 posts.

True, but it's kinda Corny's stock in trade. He should switch to lacrosse. Or a paddleball game for a change of pace. Cuz really, that, an ashtray, a remote control, a lamp, a magazine, this chair, and some matches is all he needs.

I thought the rumors had Christian pegged as the next champion?
Still, I'll believe it when I see it as they had a few opportunities to give him the World belt and missed it.

Sad to say it. but I think his time has passed. I mean I'm sure eventually he'll still have a nice little run as champion, probably drop it back to Kurt later on. That period in June-November of 2006 was their best window and they not only slammed it shut, but they nailed it down and spray painted over the glass. He's not nearly as over now as he was then. All the best, hopefully they'll prove me wrong.

Yeah if they want a Joe title run to be effective, they have got to start getting him over again. Have him quit complaining all the time about stuff, and turn him into a monster again. When he debuted for TNA in 2005, he was pushed as unstoppable. He had an undefeated streak for the longest time, and when he indirectly lost matches (such as the 3 way where Joe lost because AJ pinned Daniels), it was considered a huge deal. Nowadays, it's common for him to get pinned.
Don't get me wrong, I hate "superman pushes", but honestly they need to give Joe a winning streak at least temporarily. He not only has to start winning matches, but he has to beat important top guys.

hmm
nope, sorry. The ship sailed a while ago. They're going to have to perform a miracle to get me to care, and that's really a shamed because Samoa Joe used to be awesome.

I think they're revving up Joe for a monster push with this whole bit about Nash giving him advice and getting him all po'd.
But really I'm happy with whatever gets Angle out of the title scene.

He should have gotten it after BFG 06, but that's around the time TNA just killed my interest in general.

So he's going to work with Kevin Nash, super agent
AWESOME
Seriously having Nash do meetings where he negotiates Joe's contract, and Joe becoming more and more smarmy and full of himself.
would rock
