In my opinion the TNA title is the title that has the best guys after it. IMO Kurt Angle is the most complete wrestler there is at the moment and he is rightfully holding titles in the US and Japan. He is a legit fighter and he can personify whatever character they give him - from psycho wrestling machine to goofy arrogant.
The guys after the title are equally great. TNA has GREAT main eventers and even outside the main event there are great guys who could grow (back) into it (Tomko, Booker, AJ, Storm, Morgan).
And the other 3 big World Titles?
ECW - a midcard joke
WWE - Orton was a lame transitional placeholder for Cena and HHH. I really don't give a smurfing damn about some should-be-upper-midcarder to push himself towards Flair's record. No he sure is NOT that good! True main eventers: Cena and WHO?
World - Ok this one comes close. The Undertaker clearly isn't that imtimidating anymore, but Edge is awesome. However, Smackdown needs some more competition to that title. Perhaps Jericho will come over or RVD will come back...
Until then. I don't see any World Title at the moment to look as prestigious as the TNA World Title. Maybe it's because TNA has just got ONE roster and ONE main title people are after.
Edit: A roster and title unification would make the WWE World Title much more significant than both of their World Titles are now.

You're just going to upset ROH fans by omitting their world title.

You're just going to upset ROH fans by omitting their world title. Does ROH have TV time? I can't do anything, but omit the ROH title, since I have to admit that I never watched ROH.

Honestly, as much as I hate to say it, I've found Kurt's run at the top in TNA to be quite boring and I'm a huge fan of the guy. That's probably my only real complaint about where the title is right now.

I see your point with this. But what really makes the title mean something is how the whole company is looked at. Sure Angle has great challengers and has had great matches. But the company itself doesn't have the same feeling.
I mean how bad the booking of the show overall really doesn't help Angle or the title matters. Angle has done great as champion and so did Christian before him. The last two champions who had longer then a week or month have been great champions. I'm talking Mainly Christian and Current champion Angle. But when your champion and all you got is WTF is going on below you in the show. It kills it in a lot of ways.
I mean what does Angle have backing him on the card? Not a whole lot of good and that hurts. I mean if Angle had something like in 06 Styles, Daniels, and Joe fighting for the X title something that good backing him up with his good World title bout. That would help.
But right now Angle doesn't have anything like that because the X Divison is not what it used to be because how it's booked. The Tag titles don't have the challengers in good teams like it did a few years ago. I mean TNA as how many teams overall? 5 maybe. Hell the Tag Champions now are likely to be broken up. Which there better as singles anyway. Leaving them what what 4 teams in LAX, 3D, Rave/Hoyt and Machine Guns.
But The ROH title without TV time hurts but that belt always had a good talent holding the belt. May not be a house hold name but if you watch they always have had great matches.

I'll disagree.
The TNA World Heavyweight title takes a backseat to whatever wacky mess the Angle family (and AJ) have got themselves into. Sometimes, I forget that Kurt is even champion. It hardly ever seems that a particular feud is for the belt. After all, wasn't the last feud over who got to keep AJ Styles?
Hopefully when/if Christian wins it, it might be more important.

A world title belt is best used to help a wrestler that needs some time to get over and/or make him a legit star in the company. Like RKO'wnd should have the belt now because otherwise no one would take him seriously (not that they especially do now but still). Anyway it seems to me that Kurt holding the belt for so long is silly only because he doesn't need it any more.
A guy like Tomko needs the belt or Styles or pretty much anyone else they want to push to the main event status.
To me that's the only non-kayfaybe reason for there to be drama over a belt. Otherwise - it doesn't really matter who has it.

I thought their title just became a world title this year. Or it didn't. I can't remember if Angle put it on the line on Global Impact or not. Face it, ROH title has a ton of credibility behind it and is one of the few titles that is defended around the world as much as possible.
When was the last time TNA put on a great match with the title at stake? Seems to me like it's been a long damn time. Like Rated said, it takes a backseat to AJ, and the Angle's. If TNA made their title the focus of the show, and not some silly backstage antics where a real life married man is having an affair with his "friend's" wife I could see where you were coming from.

I think the best recent match for the world title was Kaz vs. Angle. A match that sadly, did not do much for Kaz it seems, but that's a different problem.
