Not quite on topic, but not quite off either; I would recommend to any fans of old school british wrestlers, a book by Simon Garfield; The Wrestling. Aside from being full of interviews and anecdotes from many british wrestlers (Mick McManus, 'Bomber' Pat Roach, 'Soul man' Dave Bond and many others), there is a running thread throughout the book, detailing the author's attempts to hunt down and chat with Les Kellett. For anyone who remembers making sure they were home by 4 in the afternoon on a Saturday, it's a marvellous and somewhat nostalgic read.
I've also got "You grunt, I'll groan" by Jackie Pallo. But Pallo's knowing smugness through the book does tend to wear thin very quickly.

Oh I like you, you can come again Good evening grapple fans if you've just joined us. Young David Smith has taken an awful beating at the hands of Giant Haystacks. If only he can get to the corner to tag in his partner Big Daddy. Later tonight we have Blackpool's own Steve Regal, going one on one with the Belfast Bruiser Dave 'Fit' Finlay. Then stick around for the main attraction of the evening, Mick McManus against Jackie 'Mr TV' Pallo. The crowds have been waiting for this one ;D ;D Classic old school british wrestling.

I didn't realise it had anecdotes though. Maybe the one I saw was a differnet book by the same or a similar name, since the one I saw seemed to just have bios of guys. I may have missed the anecdotes though, or be thinking of another book. Anyway, there were 2 or 3 of these books on old school UK wrestling there, eright by batista's autobiography. Cartoon pictures of Big Daddy and Kendo Nagasaki by a screaming Batista was a very odd contrast.
