Aside from his robotic "yeah, yeah," Cody seems really comfortable on the mic, which took me by surprise because I didn't see any of his OVW stuff firsthand, and, well let's face it, Hardcore Holly always sinks his unnaturally large teeth into the microphone in their tag team promos. I guess it shouldn't take me too much by surprise, because of who his father is, but every time he grabs the mic, I keep thinking, "holy crap, he can actually talk."

Some of his mannerisms reminded me of his dad as well.

Yea I'm a growing fan of his. He needs the mic time to get over. The crowd cheered when his music hit.

He's definitely showing improvements and, most importantly, potential!

I can't put my finger on it by the guy does have what it takes. I don't know. I guess I'm so used to cringing when guys like Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin get on the mic... he's refreshing to hear I guess.

Even though Cody is generic looking, i have to admit he is a natural on the mic. Much like his brother (or is it half brother?) Dustin.
Cody is already ahead of guys like Shelton on the mic as someone posted, regardless of the fact that he's newer.

and we wonder why its hard for the WWE to push new guys... fans crapping on them without giving them a chance. The guy isnt going to be an immediate Rock or Triple H... Hell, even those 2 werent an immediate Rock and Triple H. Give them time and see what happens.
Remember, a majority of people use to hate the rock, santino, morrison/nitro, miz, etc... and people warmed up to them. You dont have to fall in love with these guys right away, but take them at what they are... new guys trying to learn the biz....
that being said... cody is beginning to impress me. He's not great, but he is getting better and finding his groove.

He has a slight lisp just like his dad...I thought it was kinda of funny, but I agree with him having potential...so how about some new gear and more mic time...he could be IC potential...

He is not bad at all on the mic. I think he still needs some work but I think he will eventually get his mic skills to gold status. Right now they are only about bronze to silver.
You have to remember that when Dusty first started he was horrible on the mic because of his lisp. Eventually he figured out a cool way to talk to get around it and eventually got over with his unique voice. Same thing with Dustin. When he was first in WCW he wasn't all that great on the mic. But when he started cutting interview as Goldust in WWF years later you could tell he greatly improved.
i think Cody just needs a good angle to talk about. I'm not a big fan of him teaming with Holly(really just because I think the tag division is really weak like it has been for years).

He needs to put on 200 pounds and act like his father. He seems like he could pull of that shtick.

He was pretty good.
Instead of Hardcore Holly, WWE should have tried to get Goldust and have Cody play off of him. That would have been cool.

I guess I'm so used to cringing when guys like Jeff Hardy and Shelton Benjamin get on the mic... he's refreshing to hear I guess. This. I don't know if he's really all that good on the mic. But I'm so used to hearing dudes start talking and wish my ears would fall off, that I wait for him to be awful, then sigh with relief when he doesn't trip over his words.

He's coming along nicely. I'm seeing improvement, and in time, I think he'll manage to get over quite well. I think maybe he just needs to wine and dine with kings and queens, as well as sleep in alleys and dine on pork and beans, if ya' weel, first.

Would he be able to choose between 5 different voices though?

Instead of Hardcore Holly, WWE should have tried to get Goldust and have Cody play off of him. That would have been cool. They tried bring him in around the last SNME but, he no showed and screwed them over if I remember right. Cody was real good last night. He seems like a natural and, with a little more time could be one of the best the WWE has.
