One of major differences between Raw and Smackdown is that Monday night is the hottest prime time night of the week for overall television and Friday, well if you haven't heard of the Friday night death slot, look it up on wikipedia. What if the WWE moved Smackdown to Tuesday nights and get two hours a week from a network like Sci Fi ? They could then move ECW to Friday night. ECW could stay one hour, or become two hours, or one hour of ECW and another hour of a WWE recap show. This idea would be similar to when they would run Velocity for an hour and they Confidential. ECW could be canceled all together or go to a weekend slot or simply online exclusively. Eitherway, ECW is not that strong of a show as Smackdown, thus Smackdown desirves get a better time slot. I would love to see Smackdown go live back to back with Raw on a Tuesday.

I dont get why Friday night is such a bad time slot. To me its a better time slot than Thursday or Monday because the next day is a day off and the weekend and u get to relax before your weekend, so I can never get why everyone dislikes the Friday Night slot?

An ideal schedule is RAW on Monday night, SmackDown! on Tuesday night, and ECW on Thursday or Friday (preferably Friday).

Wrestling is new programming every week. Besides the occasional sports games on Friday Nights, do you ever find any fresh prime time programming debuting on Friday's ? No, Smackdown is right next to reruns of Goodtimes and Sanford and Son.

Make it live if at all possible. The fact that spoilers emerge several days before the event airs has to have some sort of negative effect on the ratings, and with the hype of a live show taking place as opposed to a taped and edited one, ratings will see a decent increase.

Watching Smackdown "live" makes me feel like a big loser

I don't like it because I'm usually out on Friday evening and got's no recording capabilities so even though I really really want to see it since my main man Edge is on there, I usually don't. However ECW and Impact, which I can usually take or leave, I almost always catch because they are on nights were typically nothing is going on.

I never watched Smackdown until about 5 weeks ago and somehow I've been hooked and after the draft (minus HHH), I've been more excited. I order a chicken finger salad and when I pick it up and am home, its 8pm and I watch SD, then I got out and have a few drinks. So I personally like it. But I'm sure they have lost a lot of viewers because they go out for dinner or go out with friends. If SD was more directed towards children, they could keep it at 8 on Friday. But if they do do a change, Thursdays would probably be better, regardless if TNA was on Thursdays or not.

ECW is really only 50% live action, the other half of the hour is used for Raw recaps or Smackdown hype, promoting the latest WWE film, or spotlighting the most recent press conference, charity event, etc.

Absolutelly. I might seriouslly consider changing my plans to catch it if I didn't have the constatnt temptation to simply go read the spoilers and be on my way.

The content of the show wouldn't improve just by being on at a different night. Personally, I have always struggled to watch it on Friday nights because I like to go out on Friday nights.

Also, they should do Draft shows on a neutral show like Satuday Night's Main Event instead of always having it on RAW. They were able to get an extra time slot for ECW vs. WWE head to head. I don't see what that can't make Drafts live but outside RAW, so the other brands are made to seem just as important.

Well I dunno, I prefer Friday Night timeslot to any others suggested, its the optimal slot for me because the next day is the weekend and I can just relax and enjoy the show.

I don't wanna call you out, but you must be either... A. married with a family B. too young to go out C. too old to go out If you are a single guy between 16-30 and would rather stay at home and watch Smackdown on Friday Night than go out and do anything social...well...draw your own conclusions.
