That's kind of unfair to Kid Rock. I would say he is a way better MC than Fred Durst ever wishes he could have been. Kid Rock was rhyming and beboping a while before Limp Bizkit came around. I meant for his abomination of a song "All Summer Long", where he lazily mashes together "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Werewolves of London" so he can sing about Michigan, and rhyme "things" with "things" That man gave the world "Bawitdaba" and you put him down! For shame!

I didn't just put him down, I made a video putting him down, a video putting a whiny fanboy of his down, and Cracked.com sorta stole my idea (not really) and helped continue to put him down. I have no shame for I apologize for nothing! ;D

Sure... they can go in. A musician is a musician. Now might I add my campaign to add Mark Spitz to the MLB HOF. An Athlete is an Athlete. In the USA there is nothing more prestigious then the Baseball hall of Fame. Baseball is one of the icons of America. And being one of the most decorated Athletes in US history, and being a star in the Cold War, and pure American. He should go in the Baseball Hall of Fame. An American for an American Hall of Fame. So Join the Movement: Spitz for Cooperstown.

Elvis would roll over in his grave if he were actually in it. So, he's gonna roll over behind the counter of the Stucky's he works at.

Even if he WERE still alive, wouldn't Elvis be a senior citizen (like 88 or something?) today?
I wonder if people will STILL continue to insist he's alive in the year 2040, long after any human being should be dead.
Not saying you were serious....but just throwing that out there cause I'm really curious.

Everyone knows he lives in Mount St. Helens with Kurt Cobain, Hitler, Jim Morrison, and JFK. Bill Gates is holding them hostage there.

I covered this band live on saturday. They make music that's stupid and a great deal of fun if you just pretend you're an idiot for a while.
They also, as far as the guitarist/bassist/drummer (particularly Wes Borland, whose band Black Light Burns are very good), quite talented musicians and artists.

They were a flash in the pan fad that were one of the biggest groups of a genre that was a fad and a joke. More than a one-hit-wonder, but basically just a band that struck the right chord with a lot of (mostly dumb) people at the right moment.
So in other words, if they get in, and it doesn't matter how many years from now this is, I'm driving to Cleveland and demanding the money back I spent to get into the RnR HOF when I went there last summer.
BTW, sometimes it makes me sad what happened with "rap metal". The genre had great potential. Listen to the Judgement Night Soundtrack and Rage Against the Machine.
But no, instead of going that direction and becoming something good and smart, they decided to play to the lowest-common-denominator by packaging 3rd rate ripoff hardcore/metal riffs with 3rd rate 80s style rap.
Record lable honchos that help produce this shit (and I literally mean "produce" because music like this seems to come off an assembly line, not from an artists heart) need to be shot.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that, eventually, they should be let in. If Madonna can get in, if the Bee Gees can get in, if GRANDMASTER FLASH can get into a ROCK AND ROLL HOF, then let Limp Bizkit in. Why? They and Rage Against the Machine pretty much were the kings of rap metal/rapcore/nu metal, an impact which is still felt to this day.
Whether you like thier music or hate it, they deserve to get in due to thier impact on music.
I know people will disagree with me (especially since I'm kind of a hypocrite, there is NO WAY Prince should be in the HOF, in my opinion) but that's the way it goes. A lot of people don't like The Ramones, but they made a huge impact as well.

This is kind of funny timing for this to come up for me, actually, since just yesterday I was rockin' "Significant Other" in my car while I was cruising around town. Every so often I get a nostalgia pang, and I want to listen to them, Korn and hell, all of my old Family Values tour CDs.
Riding in my car with "Nookie" playing reminds me of the first time I ever did that....and back then, things were a lot better. I think gas was around $1.10/gallon, I had just gotten my first job, and I had money to burn with no responsibilities.
Man, I miss those days.
