Was it just me or was there an excessive amount of nudity in this flick? I dunno, naked chicks are hot, but naked chicks coughing up blood is not. And did Micheal have a problem with women or what? The guys he pretty much just killed, all the girls he poked at them like a kid pulling wings of flies, damn weirdo.

Wasn't there nudity in the original halloweens well the second one I think?
I think they concentrated way too much on the gore and blood on that movie. Also the Music which basically made the Halloween theme memorable sucked in that one.

I loved the new one, the nudity was acceptable in my book and he definately had some serious issues with women, but who hasn't.

I thought Rob Zombies Halloween was one of the worst films i've ever seen.
I'd rather watch "Resurrection" again 3 times than Zombies again, Awful

Also the Music which basically made the Halloween theme memorable sucked in that one. See, I didn't think he used too much blood in the movie, just cause I was worried he'd try to make it a glorified Devil's Rejects sequel. Even though the original Halloween showed little to no blood at all, I thought the way he did it was just fine.

I don't know....I don't HATE Zombie's HALLOWEEN. He went into it with every intention, as a fan of the series, of making this his version of the story, and at the same time, a tribute to what he loved.
Which is more than I can say for the HACKS at Platinum Dunes who continue to f*** Leatherface and Co. up, without an ounce of caring for the series, the character....nothing.
What Zombie did wrong, though, was make such a schizophrenic movie....the first half played like "Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN", with all the white trash, redneck stereotypes we horror fans have come to expect from Rob. The second half, though, just seemed like Rob lost faith in himself, and decided to do a shot for shot remake of the orignal, just with HIS characters and HIS Michael Myers.
And technically, his vision is not in "canon", so whoever comes along next can pretend it never happened, and give us a more realistically sized Michael Myers, and erase all of what DIDN'T work from Zombie's vision.
Which is what I hope someone does with TCM, in the near future.

I've heard about this movie and I don't think I ever want to see it, and I'm a HUGE Horror movie fan who will see most things.

I enjoyed the first half enough, when it seemed like it was trying to stay grounded in a realistic character, then the second half he's more unbelievable then ever before. Wasn't that big a fan.

In my mind, Big Show-sized Michael Myers > One Armed Leatherface ANY DAY. Seriously, if that wasn't the world's biggest f*** YOU to fans of the original TCM.....than I don't know what could have been. Maybe if Jessica Biel had chopped Leatherface in HALF with his own saw, pissed in his face, and then ran him over with the semi-truck? Seriously.....there was nothing wrong with how the Original TCM ended. And who the f*** thinks that having your main badass horror ICON villain lose his arm is an acceptable change, or an IMPROVEMENT upon the original? Seriously, and I say this from the bottom of my heart: f*** Platinum Dunes for doing that to Leatherface. The team of Chimps at the Portland Zoo write better endings to movies in their own feces.

I actually liked Michael Myers as a Hoss, he looked just like Abyss, especially in his red mask. ;D

I actually liked Michael Myers as a Hoss, he looked just like Abyss, especially in his red mask. ;D Someone over on the DreadCentral boards actually said that about Leatherface's mask in TCM: The Beginning, and they posted a side by side comparision, and it was uncanny. I thought Michael's red mask looked a lot like a Slipknot mask, for some reason. And Johnny.....I wasn't trying to flame at you, or belittle your opinion.....you're entitled to like what you want, and I'm glad you appreciate the TCM remake. Myself, I am a HUGE fan of the original, and Leatherface is kind of a personal favorite horror personality of mine. Some people like Michael, some like Jason, some like Freddy....me, I like Leatherface. The remake was awesome in my eyes, up until the point I was talking about, where Biel just OWNS Leatherface, and cuts his arm off, which pretty much made me turn my opinion on a DIME and now I just HATE the entire thing, hate it with every fiber of my being. The prequel didn't help things either, with the way they treated Leatherface being even WORSE than the character was treated in the remake. It's HIS origin story, and the lion's share of the time goes to Sherrif Hoyt? Ummm......FAIL? Anyways, to get back on topic, I know a LOT of folks were outraged over the way that Rob turned Michael from this....phantom....this.....boogeyman type character, into just another poor, misunderstood, abused/neglected kid who is the way he is because Mommy and Daddy didn't love him enough.

I personally really liked the origin stuff, it was pretty much everything that the Texas Chainsaw origin story wasn't, cuz it was actually about Michael for one thing. It made sense to me as well, I'll take crazy kid that gets more and more crazy over the years over what they did in the Thorn angle.
