I went with Beast Wars because I've actually seen every part of that story.

Pretty much the Marvel and IDW comics. For tv, Beast Wars was the best put together, but Gen 1 was the most memorable.
That said, Animated is freaking goooood. Grimlock is so great in it.

G1 and Beast Wars were part of the same continuity, at least as far as the related TV shows were concerned. I actually marked for that when that became evident.
The death of Dinobot was the best Transformers episode of any continuity, IMHO.

same here. its th 'proper' transformers Agreed, I do hold a special place for g2 thou if that count as the start of the galvatron years, they were the better episodes espcially thanks to transformers the movie and much later on the return of optimus prime.

although i still love G1, i may also be the only person who really liked beast machines. Really like Machines, as well. Every episode it seemed just suddenly ended, cliffhanger-style and you're stuck wanting to watch it all in one seating, which really sucked when it aired. But with that said, Beast Wars is the ONLY Transformers that matters in the grand scheme of things. And if you don't believe that, you're fragged.

I'm a big fan of Beast Wars and Rage Machines, they both still hold up to this day. G1 and G2 sadly do not hold up at all IMO.

It's been about 12 years-ish since Wars started, and even once it gets doubled that it'll still be holding up strongly. G-1 didn't age past after it's own five year anniversary.

Went with G1. That said, I'm not one of THOSE Transformers fans who will insist that G1 was perfection and everything that came after it was sacrilege. I liked the cartoon, but it was FAR from perfect, rife with animation and continuity errors. But among these choices, it is certainly my favorite, since I never got that into Beast Wars. Maybe I'll check it out on DVD some day if I can ever find it.
Animated rules, BTW. Entertaining, and loaded with fanservice.

G1. Although why they never cast Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, in every show after it, ever, is beyond me.
No matter how good the series is, something in me dies a little everytime Optimus Prime sounds like a 20-year old, or an adolescent.

All so looking back Armada wasn't that bad, especially after the first season.

Yeah, but Energon was better than Armada, Cybertron, not so much.
