But you don't kill Batman. Also, I'm telling Superman what you said.... and I'm telling Flash and Green Lantern... and Martian Manhunter you bad mouthed them too. ... Jailed then?

Listen for the hiss of air right before he bends the gun barrel. Yeah I will, but I've seen it thrice now and at no time do I recall any hiss. While I'm thinking about it, it might have been a mechanical whir instead of a hiss of air. The two sound kind of alike to me. It wouldn't really change the point that it's the device on his hand doing the bending and tearing, but it happens so fast and I'm not really paying massively close attention to the exact sound I hear it make.

Seen the movie thrice now, and while I too thought Batman bent the gun at first, I also heard the hissing noise before (and during) the bending part on further viewings. It's a hand device.

Drat, I missed a Superman/Batman debate? I love Superman.
One criticism about the movie now that I've seen it twice, Heath's laughs were kinda weak.

Was Micheal Jai White's death edited It seems like a really awkward cut to me (Plus you can't really make out what he did to him). Yeah, thats one of few things that bugs me about the film. The best I can come up with is that Joker slit his throat. No way you'd die from getting your faced slashed like that. I was about to ask something similar just now. I'll toss in with my analogy of what may have happened, perhaps Joker started Spawn's death with the knife slit and the three (or two?) dudes with the pool cue had to finish the job as part as their initiation. But Brad's probably far more correct than I am, since after Joker's cut he was completely silent. Something lame I want to know is how exactly did Fox find out Bruce is Bats between the movies? Sure, he's no idiot...just wanna know, maybe something on the dvd will tell us, since it doesn't really belong in the movie.

Fox never "figured out" if my memory is correct. Bruce when he went to get some of the abandoned war items, he asked if he expects to be shot cave climbing. So he knew at that point, Bruce was going to be using this stuff for means other than fun but wanted no details. And once the papers reported of a Batman, his intuitions, off screen obviously, were correct. Yeah, it's not perfect but Begins wasn't.

People were worrying about the Mummy 3 getting #1 for the weekend after Friday. But they dont have to worry anymore as Batman barely squeaked by for the weekend box office with 43 million over The Mummy 3's 42 million.
The Dark Knight is now #8 all time passing The Passion of the Christ, Spider-man 2, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

The vehicle pretty much gives it away in Batman Begins...Bruce asks about the vehicle, drives it with Fox, then later in the movie theres a huge chase scene...

The Dark Knight is now #8 all time passing The Passion of the Christ, Spider-man 2, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Actually, Batman is ESTIMATED to narrowly squeek by. Actuals won't be out until Monday night. 1. The Dark Knight $43,800,000 2. The Mummy 3 $42,450,000 Since Pineapple Express opens on a Wednesday this week which will kill off some of it's actual weekend performance so TDK will probly win next weekend as well giving it 4 straight #1 weekends. This is unheard of in the summer months. TDK will pass $400m either Monday or Tuesday, shattering the quickest to $400m record which was previously held by Shrek 2 at 43 Days. TDK will have down it in less then half that time. By the way, I'm predicting $42m for this weekend. I'll be more presice this time (last time I said 80-85) so we can know exactly how far off I am (and I will be off, this movie is kind of doing it's own thing right now and Mummy 3 is a Wild Card). Looks like I was going to be close with my predicition. Fox knew he was Batman in the first one. They had a whole conversation about it where Fox gave that wink-wink, nudge-nudge type answer, "If you don't want to tell me what you're doing... when I asked, I won't have to lie."

Thats surprising that it was #1 again this weekend, which when final numbers come out the top two could flip flop.
Next week Pineapple Express is definitely gonna take #1 but its gonna be interesting to see how long Dark Knight keeps up this steam

If it was opening Friday it would be a definate #1, but with it being open and burning through two days worth of Box Office before Friday even rolls around, the weekend could belong to Batman again.

I just wanna say: a.) When Bats bent the gun, I saw something in his hand, and I heard the whirring/hissing/whatever noise. Not sure if it's the same device he ripped in to the van with, but it's definitely a device, and not just Bats's hand. b.) I like Superman. Heaven forbid a guy with the tools to help people should just friggin' want to do it because it's the right thing to do. Oh no, the only people that help others were somehow psychologically damaged into doing it.

I honestly dont think Superman is really is feeling too bad because Superman has something that no one will ever take away from him.....the first superhero who was a pop culture icon. No matter that his movies may suck and several people (like myself) hate the character. Superman will live on through all of the other comic book superheroes.

Superman has a great motivation. It just seems a lot of his stories are lacking these days. That is my only issue. He can be hard to write, because he is so powerful, same with my fave DC character, Martian Manhunter. They are so strong with such diverse powers that making anything seem like a threat to them is hard, and it makes it hard to sympathize with them.
