Why do you let it bother you? Ignore it, be the bigger person.Almost every one has others who have a negative opinion of them for some stupid reason, it happens. Their opinion doesn't matter. If it is bothering you, maybe you need to re-examine yourself and how you feel about you. LOL Well, that was a hell of a faux pas. Good one though.

Homer: Shame on all of you. Give me my dignity! I just came here to see "Honk If You're Horny" in peace.
Manager: Sir, if you'd just quiet down, I'd be happy to treat you to a garbage bag full of popcorn.
Homer: This may surprise you, but you can't buy me off with food. I'm sick of all your stereotypes and cheap jokes! The overweight individuals in this country are just as smart and talented and hard working as everybody else. And they're going to make their voices heard! All they need is a leader.
[doffs his cape and struts off]
Hmph...I'll work harder than ever before and show the world that overweight people are not undisciplined, lazy and irresponsible.
[gets home, sees bird on its side] What happened to my bird?
[Screen is flashing "Situation critical, explosion imminent".] [moans] Oh! Marge? Lisa? Flanders?

ok so i looked at your myspace pictures (just because i wanted to see what you looked like...for conversation sake)....two things : 1. you're not "fat" 2. you're cute. People need to shut the smurf up about people's appearances. I appreciate that, but I'm 5'6'' and 260. I'm 'overweight' for my height. I just 'hide' it well. And as I said, why is it because we have an understanding, that we're not stable? Not everyone is in a monogamous relationship, and a lot of the time, people who are end up cheating on their spouses anyways. (I'm looking at you, John Edwards) Not true in my case. 2 marriages and I didn't cheat. Wife #1, however...

LOL I'm glad you did that, cause I was gonna do it but didnt wanna seem like a jerk. ;D Anyway, and perhaps I'm reading too much into this, but maybe you're less happy with yourself and your current situation than you say....hence the "open relationship" because you don't feel happy and fulfilled with what you have already? Again, just a wild swing at attempting to make sense, but whatever.

Props to her for being confident with herself 4. To be fair, I could stand to lose 30-40 lbs myself but I AM working on it!

I'm still dubious as to the legitimacy of this post.
From a young age, I was led to believe to that there are no clothed women actually on the internet.
So either you're a guy or you're naked.

But I have friends like this and sometimes it takes some one to state these things. Sometimes some one needs to be the "bad guy".

*People assuming because I'm 'fat', I don't lead a fulfilling life. I have friends, I go out on the weekends, I am a aspiring film maker, I work full time, I DO THINGS other than sit on my ass. *Because I'm 'fat', I MUST not be able to get a man. Nevermind the fact that I've been in a stable relationship for the past 5 years and have NO problem getting any side action from 'attractive' guys. And no I don't have to 'seek' them out. *Because I'm 'fat', I'm not 'attractive', or have a 'nice body'. Hey listen, just because I don't fit your ideal of a 'perfect woman' doesn't mean I'm sad, pathetic, or miserable. I LIKE to eat. I LIKE food, and I don't care if you think I eat 'too much', you ain't paying my tab. I'm REALLY tired of this crap. Why do you let it bother you? Ignore it, be the bigger person. Almost every one has others who have a negative opinion of them for some stupid reason, it happens. Their opinion doesn't matter. If it is bothering you, maybe you need to re-examine yourself and how you feel about you. This guy can help you like you!

My thing about women and fat guys that I've noticed.
I've seen fat guys with good looking chicks before, but they tended to be the fat guys that are outgoing and have a lot of friends and whatnot. So yes, it is possible for big dudes to get pretty girls. Not to say there's a lack of superficiality here though, as the fat dudes that get the girls tend to be "popular" characters, and some chicks will overlook good looks (no pun intended) if a guy has power/money or is well-liked.

A lot of dating has to do with personality. If you have that certain thing (whatever it is), you can pretty much date anybody (well, not exactly but you get my idea). I've seen fat men/hot girls and big girls/hot guys and ugly guys/hot girls and so on and so on...it comes down to being open and out there really.
One problem with being big is that you have a tendency to be a bit of a shut-in in many regards and therefore don't open yourself up....and if you don't, how can you meet people?
In my case I have a horrible tendency to just completely shut myself off, it's a defensive move on my part but it's often really brought me nothing but regrets. I've had many chances that I threw away, or pretended not to see, or just simply didn't go for it out of fear of rejection. I also have a fear of acceptance if you can figure that one out.
Back to the original topic, people always have annoying generalizations that they like to toss on people. I'm tall, and I'm forever been asked if I play basketball and because I'm big, I'm also always asked if I play football...it IS annoying.

You'd think about the fuss you hear today about obese children and adults, and the declining health of Americans in general, that people wouldn't be shallow like that anymore. If everyone's getting bigger, aren't they the ones who don't conform to the norm?
Honestly, I hate skinny people. If I want to cuddle, I want to cuddle with a girl, not a pelvic bone.

I'll say this, fat women > skinny women. Men will ALWAYS prefer a woman who is too big rather than a woman is too thin. At least fat girls look jovial. Skinny girls are just depressing.
Seriously, way too many women mix up "thin" and "skinny." Oh and a lot of of them also mix up a nice curvy belly and a fat belly.

I am going to tell you something kinda weird. My friend was the same way for a long time. Then he stopped wearing as much dark clothing(which he wore because it was slimming, and it did not make him look good) and started wearing brightly colored stuff, Hawaiian shirts, pink polos, stuff like that. He looked and felt better in them, which I believe is largely because he stopped trying to hide his weight, so he had to start to accept it. He started feeling better about himself and more open. His personality came out and people responded to it.
I have seen some studies that say the colors we sport can have that type of effect on our psyche, and I believe it. When I used to wear a lot of black was when I was sick and depressed all the time. Now I almost never wear black and am rarely depressed at all.
Kinda out there, but it works for some people.

I'm having a hard time understanding what my sex life has to do with how 'stable' my relationship is. As I said, we have been together for years, we live together, etc, etc. We are at a point in our lives where we still haven't done certain things, so we have an open relationship. We haven't had an issue with it thus far, and I don't see one coming any time soon. I was trying to make a point, and it got re-directed into how I'm not happy with my relationship. If you are monogamous that's good for you, I have no issue being that either, as I have before. But at this point, we are not and it isn't a problem. I'm not going to call anyone a prude because they feel differently than me in that regard, but don't try and make me feel bad that I don't have the same 'values' as you.
