I was a University of Iowa fan for one season the year they won the Big Ten Championship. But I think I was just amazed at the level of talent that Brad Banks had. Because I still follow Banks' career in Canada, but I couldn't care less about any of the other players on that team like Dallas Clark or Bob Sanders. Well actually I'm a Nate Kaeding fan. But only because I have a soft spot for Kickers and Punters. I watched every Iowa game that season and was pissed that year at the draft. Banks didn't even get a chance. While teams drafted guys like Leftwich, Grossman, Dave Ragone, Chris Simms, Seneca Wallace , Brian St. Pierre, Brooks Bollinger, Kliff Kingsbury, Gibran Hamdan and Ken Dorsey, Banks went undrafted. Really though, how did drafting Wrecks Grossman go for you Chicago? That's right. You're losing two games in one season to the Lions. God only knows what team Leftwich is on now(Atlanta?) thumbs up Jacksonville. I can't watch college football anymore because I can't follow it as hardcore as I did that one season.

Leftwich is now the Steelers back-up since Charlie Batch got injured in the first pre-season game.

I have been a Packer fan since probably 1979, and I can tell you that there are instances of bandwagon jumping that I've seen throughout the years.
Back when they were doing so-so in the early 90's, I'd go to this place to watch the games. There were only a few of us out there, and we were the die hards, we'd watch them whether they did good or not. Then they started going on that stretch and more and more people would show up to watch the games, jumping on the bandwagon, if you weel. But then they'd have a couple of not so good years and everyone who was a bandwagon fan stopped showing up. Which was good for me, because along with being bandwagon jumpers they didn't know shit about the team or the game of football. I hated hearing their ignorant statements when I'd be sitting there trying to watch the games.
Along with that though, I've watched a lot of people jump on bandwagons of teams that were doing good. When the Vikings were going on their big run back in 98, I saw a lot of people jump on their bandwagon. And when I went into town to watch the NFC Championship Game, I drove by one bar and saw all these vehicles sitting there with their Viking flags on them. As soon as the game was over, I left where I was at, since I had to work that night. I drove by those same vehicles and all the Vikings flags had already been taken off of their vehicles.
Now I know that people get pissed when their team loses. Hell, I used to work in enemy territory (Minnesota) and had to suffer my team losing quite a bit. But if I was wearing a jersey on game day and had to go to work after the game, I'd still wear it, win or loss. But that's just me, I guess.
But with Brett gone, I know there are people who will jump off the bandwagon and I say good riddance. I work with a guy who is so pissed about the way that "the team treated Brett Favre" that he refuses to watch any games this year. Good, smurf him. More football for me. He actually went as far as turning one of the guy's radios off at work Monday night so he didn't have to listen to the game. Which is fine in preseason, but in the regular season it's gonna get him killed.
