I noticed some that have been named already that have not been successful in the U.S. But have been very successful in Australia.
Robbie Williams for example is very popular here. And so are The Darkness, Suede, Arctic Monkeys, Blur, Oasis and Muse.

Oasis are the ones who immediately jump out at me.
Still, all the more for us - I still get jealous that we have to share The Rolling Stones with the US.

Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks so. It seems to be a prerequisite that to accepted as a student you have to like the Arctic Monkeys because they're "edgy" and "raw". I'm a 25 year old northerner and I just don't get em. Personally their music sounds messy to me. The only song of theirs I slightly like is their cover of "Love Machine"..... which says a lot to me.

There music to me sounds like a bunch of guys who got together to moan and whine about stuff. Edgy and Raw? lol. They are nothing special.
