I saw it.
I'll admit, I liked the animation.
However, while I was watching, I just kept thinkng one word: fanfic. It seemed like some smartass 14 year old wrote some fanfic about her being anakins padawan, then Lucas got it.
Also it made no sense whatsoever in regards to the total series. Is Palpatine bipolar?

Nobody goes to the theatres to watch a television pilot.

Theres no emotional connection with the characters in the prequels because we already know how they end up. No drama at all.
The Prequels should've focused on entirely different characters that we didn't know about, with only cameos by Anakin and Obi-Wan.

I do have to say when I watch the original trilogy now I see the characters, especially Vader, Obi-Wan and Palpatine in a different light.
The prequels, to me, added to the original trilogy.

I agree with the guys at Spill.com that the story from the upcoming videogame 'The Force Unleashed' should have been the movie.

This animated film did a couple of things for me ...
1) It reminded me of every single shortcoming that existed in the prequels
2) For the first time in my life, it made me reluctant for the next Star Wars project in the works (i.e., the TV series)
3) It made appreciate Tartakovsky's Clone Wars beyond the amazing level of appreciation I already had for it.
4) It cemented factors from the prequels into sheer hatred and beyond the point of forgiveness
Now, it's not that The Clone Wars was the worst piece of garbage I've ever seen. It was just sort of "the last straw" for me.
Ahsoka's voice actor was absolutely the wrong call. Unlike others, I had a lot of hope for this type of character coming into the Star Wars Universe. Give her a Punky Brewster voice instead. Hated her voice; it was completely out of place. I preferred the girl from the Ewoks movie 10-fold over Ahsoka.
R2-D2 CANNOT $#)*%^()Q@) FLY!!! This pisses me off to no end. It's such a cop-out and so unnecessary. Why are they making him able to fly? Unforgiveable at this point.
The pet names in the film were absoltely stupid. It's like George Lucas discovered Nickelodeon as he was overseeing this project.
I'm one that defends Star Wars to the end and attempts to explain away a lot of flaws, but I've just about had it with the tarnishing of the original trilogy's legacy. I always try to look at it like this: IV, V, VI were canon. The Ewoks movie was even canon. Tartakovsky's Clone Wars was canon. I, II, III are simply CGI'ed "dramatizations" of events from that time that were "based on canon." I accept some things as "reenactments" and others as simply entertainment value to the way things ACTUALLY happened. After this new Clone Wars, I'm not even sure where this one falls. It's like Star Wars Christmas Special meets Saved By The Bell or something.

Yes, I did just say R2-D2 is the savior of the Star Wars galaxy. Why? Because, he was the one who carried Leia's message to Obi-Wan and Luke. He was the one who was always there to fix any technical obstacle in the way of the Rebels' success.

You and your damn Holiday Special! Don't forget the two Ewok films. I'll consider those and the Holiday Special REAL Star Wars films LONG before I ever acknowledge the prequel crap. What are your thoughts on the upcoming live action TV show? BTW, while I have not seen it yet it cannot be as bad as the Droids and Ewoks cartoons.

I loved the original Clone Wars cartoon because unlike many film series, they do explain several plot holes that would have been confusing between Episode II and III without them. It took care of these few things...
* How Anakin turned from a Padawan into a Jedi Master * How General Grevious Rose To Power (Let Me Just Say That The Introduction To General Grevious In The Clone Wars Series Was One Of The Best Introductions Of All Time) * How the Chancellor got kidnapped

Wasn't he bitching in Revenge of the Sith about how they put him on the Jedi Council but did not present him with the rank of master?
