Earlier this year I thought about doing a Olympics Super Game. (Like the World Cup and Euro 08 ones). But I realized it would take up to much time and effort getting it going and keeping it together. So I'm not doing it now. But if anyone else wants to start one then be my guest.

On the one hand, I'm pissed that our best sprinter, Tyson Gay, may miss the olympics. On the other hand, I'm kinda relieved that the uber-hero of the olympics won't be someone named Tyson Gay.

I'm actually gonna be part of the olympics. I'm playing with the olympic band before the opening ceremonies as well as playing after we watch the preliminaries for woman's soccer.

So who's gonna be Britain's boxing sensation this time then? Hopefully somebody who isn't annoying or boring.

Does anyone know if that 16 year old high school girl made the US track and field team? I'm not all that interested in the sport, buts its cool to see someone that young accomplish such a thing.

I just hope NBC does a better job of coverage this year. I know the use all their cable outlets (CNBC, USA, Bravo) but I hate how on NBC its just gymnastics, swimming and track & field, with the occasional basketball game.
I also hate when they do about 5 minutes of action and then a 15 minute video package telling the story of how the one guy in the next event's father built him a pool in the backyard so he could practice all the time and spent all this money on equipment and coaches. Then the father died last year and does get to see his dream fulfilled of the son in the olympics. Then the kid goes out and finishes in sixth place. Maybe Im a jerk but I just dont care. Show me whose winning or spend those 15 minutes on another event you have sattelite feeds, just because its in between races at the pool doesnt mean something isnt happening somewhere else.
On a side note: YAY gymnastics on tv!! skin tight outfits on girls with amazing bodies and some of the best butts you will see all year. I'm turing in to such a dirty old man.
