I'm actually gonna be part of the olympics. I'm playing with the olympic band before the opening ceremonies as well as playing after we watch the preliminaries for woman's soccer. I didn't read the date at first: I'm thinking, ok this guy is already in China, and the WC Forums isn't one of the banned sites. Score!! But, alas...

About a day to go before the opening ceremony. And the thing I always wait for is how they light the cauldron. So far no one has topped the Barcelona 92 night arrow one:
Although Muhammad Ali lighting the cauldron in 94 was touching. And Sydney 2000's UFO style rising out of water style cauldron was pretty cool despite the fact it malfunctioned on the conveyor belt for about a couple of minutes.
How do I think it will be lit: Well it's in China so I'm guessing some sort of Sp FX involving a Dragon lights it.

Go Australia.
(I'm not going to watch the olympics but rather Fox8's 17 day animation marathon. Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill, Family Guy and American Dad non stop for 17 days (except for the wrestling))

Thats what I say during the Winter Olympics. Canada, USA, and Sweden. ;D As For Summer. The Woman's Soccer Team is not that bad. And I think they have a decent Diver.

Did the USA Men's Basketball team under-perform and fail to medal yet?
Because if they play the same way as they did against friggin' Australia in exhibition play, they aren't lasting long.

Geez... the Olympic Soccer tournament is sure exciting compared to Euro2008 They should have amateur teams playing, instead of U-21 sides... At least it would be amusing and unpredictable, instead of second-rate and uninspiring.
