I was scared of shopping malls. No lie. Even today I get uncomfortable in bigger places like Meijer, Menards, and most malls.

That image of Tyson used to scare the bejeezus out of me and I'd be too scared to play the game. Ironically, it's now one of my all-time favorite games.

Watching Unsolved Mysteries in the dark.
Wait that still scares me.

I saw that scene as a little kid and was scared shitless. Honestly, until I clicked on your youtube, I hadn't seen it since then!! So thanks to you, I had to watch something that I've scared of for over 2 decades, and it turns out that it was really cheesy... kind of a letdown.

YES! That scared the ever loving crap out of me when I was a kid. To me, that was the most terrifying thing I ever saw. I was deathly afraid of that scene from the age of 3 up until I was 5 or 6.

Oscar the grouch. We used to have this pop up book with him in it when i was little, and my brother would chase me around the house opening it at the Oscar page. My mum ended up having to cut out the pop up Oscar and tear it into little shreds so I wouldn't be scared anymore.
I was also scared of Dr. Seuss books. Mainly some of the pictures from One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
I became scared of dentists when my brother showed me a video case to some horror movie about dentists. My brother had a habit of trying to scare me with everything he could think of...and it generally worked.

Seconded! This: I don't mean the movie, just the poster really freaked me out. The movie Aliens. And...

My cousin was afraid of Mr. T when he was a kid! I'm not afraid of Mr. T but I sure wouldn't want to run into a pissed off Mr. T in a dark alley.

When I was about 5 years old, I was TERRIFIED of the opening scene in the first Mortal Kombat movie. I remember me and my older brother were watching it since we had played the games, and the first few minutes when Shang Tsung is beating the crap out of Lui Kang's brother and he proceeds to take his soul just scared the crap out of me. I kept expecting Shan Tsung to randomly appear out of dark corridors in his leather jacket and just beat me to a pulp.
Strangely enough I was fine with the rest of the movie.

I remember I went to the museum when I was a kid and they had these giant bug statues that moved, that scared the crap out of me.

I could never play the demo of Metal Gear Solid if I was the only one in the room. I was about 8 at the time. Something about the tension and suspense of sneaking around really frightened me.

Blankets. Back when I was a wee brat I didn't use them, and for some reason I was quite immune to the cold back then, to the point where the air conditioning was pointed at me when I was sleeping.
And, in a weird sort of way, underwear. It all began with a bee who decided that my underwear is the ideal resting place, and now the fear may have surfaced in the form of me going commando since high school.

I did not lke car washes either as a child. Also, there was a scene from one of the Superman movies (maybe just one of those company logo screens or something after the movie was over) that would be somebody's hand smashing into something. That scared the bejeebus out of me, because I thought the tape was possessed or something..
