It must have been real fun doing the table reads on that show.
"The plot this week is that Urkel invents a machine that takes him back in time where he meets Napoleon and Carl is somehow transformed into Allen Ginsburg and 3J is the new James Bond..."

Family Matters was best in the middle seasons when it had lots of Waldo Faldo.

Not to change the subject, but if Steve was really smart he would have come up with a way to have a three way with both Laura and Myra.
I'm just saying.

^ True with Myra he had a girlfriend who loved him for being him. But apparently that was good enough him for I guess.

Maxine was pretty hot too. Yeah Maxine was hot. I never understood why Maxine was friends with Laura. Laura "Golddigger" Winslow. All those years of Steve trying to get Laura she kept just disrespecting him and brushing him off. All of a sudden when Steve is making something of himself thats when she wants him. I remember that one episode when Steve was nice to take Laura to the cheerleading thing and that they had to stop in the hotel room when Urkels care broke down. After Urkel had PAID for the room, Laura wouldnt even let Steve sleep on the bed and told him to sleep in the tub. After that Steve just snapped on Laura and told her to treat him with respect. The studio audience then went nuts (Married with Children type nuts) when Steve snapped on Laura.

I was flicking through the TV and came across an episode where they time traveled and get captured by pirates.
I shook my head and changed the channel.

Yeah. Eddie was a trigger happy cop and Carl decided to teach him a lesson by taking him to the shooting range and shoot a cardboard cut out of his family. Sorta the reverse of Carl's stint at the LAPD.

Also did anyone else notice just how much this show emulated Happy Days? You had the disappearing sibling Judy in Family Matters and Chuck in Happy days. Also a not really main charcater eventully domintaed the show. Urkel in this case and Fonz in Happy Days. Plus Urkel and Chachi both burned diners in their quest to impress a potential a love interest.
