YES, Edge finally turned face...or tweener anyway. I was so sick of chickenskite heel Edge. Now that he's turned on Vickie and La Familia, he's Psycho, Violent, Angry tweener/face Edge. And I love it!
I've been waiting for Edge to turn back for like 4 years now. He always worked great as a face.
Edge has really came into his own in the last year. This time last year, I didn't even consider him IC Champ level, but now, he's one of my favorite wrestlers, and definately World Champion caliber. Edge's 2008 was like The Rock's 1998. They both started the year strong, but still mid-card-level, and had cemented their place on top by Summerslam. Good job Edge, you've finally won me over.
I knew a guy named Adam couldn't be that bad.

I'm with you. I've always loved to root for Edge, even as a chickenshit heel, hell, especially as one.
When Edge was the "Rated R Superstar" with sexy as hell Lita, how could you not root for the guy? Especially against Cena, who was massively overpushed at the time. Plus, he had those great feuds with Matt Hardy and Shawn Michaels.
Now, Edge has still delivered the goods for his matches during the "La Familia" saga. But really, I found it to be one of the most bland, lame stables of all time. Happy Edge is back to his old ways, whether it be heel/face/tweener. I personally still think he's a heel, just a different kind of heel. The "cool" heel that everybody wanted to be in the 90's.

He didn't turn. He's facing the Undertaker in just over a week. He will very much be playing the heel.

Yep, but he's a much different heel now - and I love it.

I think the segment was just to get over the fact that it will be a worthwhile, competitive match, and not just a sqaush with the scared Edge.
When he really does turn, it's going to be monumental, and it will be much bigger than simply attacking Chavo.

You seem to forget his 2004 run when he was GarbEDGE
Seriously that was one of the worst face runs I ever recall, as long as he doesn't go back to that...I'm perfectly fine with whatever he does.

Anyone else get the feeling Edge watched The Dark Knight recently? He even added the licking of the lips to his Joker impression. It was awesome but it really reminded me of Ledger's Joker.

Edge did turn, just not to face. From scared pathetic heel to vicious dangerous psycho heel.
He will go face again one day. The best heels make the best faces and vice versa. It's why Cena is going to be the best heel since Bret in 97 when it happens, and why Edge will be a tremendous face when the day arrives.

The faces I root for aren't "Psycho, Violent, Angry" except on rare occasions such as when they're coming back in a match
I liked Edge as when he was just a what most people would consider a generic face.

He will go face again one day. The best heels make the best faces and vice versa.quote] There is ONE example where it fits perfectly: Hulk Hogan. However, I disagree with that generalization. -Triple is awesome as a heel. As a face he sucks donkey balls. -Jeff Jarrett is awesome as a heel. As a face: meh. -Edge is awesome as a heel. As a face he sucks. -Sting is awesome as a face. As a heel he sucks. -Vader was an awesome heel. As a face he sucks. -Yokozuna: see Vader.

When was Jeff Jarrett ever a face wrestler? Perhaps he was at some point in TNA. Every time I've ever seen him, from his WWF Debut, he's been a heel. Double J, Aztec Warrior, NWA invader, Slapnuts misygonyst, nWo guy, early TNA championship whore, indy guy with a bad attitude, always a heel.
I think Vader was a great face, though definately better as a heel.
HHH is better as a face. He's funny as a face, and simply boring and annoying as a heel.
Edge sucks as a heel. He sucked as a face too. He's only gotten any good recently. I just wish he'd quit finishing with his "Running hug of doom". His current tweener run should be fun.
Sting was only a heel for like a week in WCW in 2000, so it's not fair to judge him. If he ever has a long run as a heel, it may be worthwhile. He's kinda permaface by now though(If he's against Joe at the PPV, it'll simply turn Joe heel).
Yokozuna is one of the few wrestlers I'll agree are hands down better as a heel. Ted DiBiase, Honkey Tonk Man, Raven, Rick Martel, Andre the Giant, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, The Rock, Batista, Brock Lesnar, and very few others are on that list.
I like most wrestlers better as face, including many that others are vehement about being better heels, such as Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, HHH, Undertaker, Kane, Scott Steiner, Chris Jericho, Bret Hart, The Big Show, Kurt Angle, Greg Valentine, Bob Backlund, and many more.

Ironically Jeff Jarrett is actually much, much better as a face. If you ever watched his USWA work from the late 80s and early 90s he's quite a good face. I think he sucks as a heel if anything, since he never seems especially evil.

Edge isn't turning... at least as long as he's feuding against Taker.
And, no, I don't think he's a good face. His horrible 2004 face run is tied with Orton's at the top of the Worst Face Turns of the last decade.
Psycho Edge is the way to go, and they're finally getting there, after two long years of "I need help from men, women, children and inanimated objects to win a match" Edge.
Besides, what face gimmick could Edge work right now?

Psycho face Edge. Where maniacally commits random acts of violence against heels, like he did to La Familia on Smackdown. He's a tweener now, and he'll be face after he finishes with Taker if the match is really good. Either that or he'll be a heel semi-aligned with Kane, who will likely help him beat Taker much as he helped HBK 11 years ago.
