I dig reading or watching stuff on Karl Marx as well as various revolutions. Sometimes I watch other stuff, I just gotta be in the mood and it has to interest me.

Not me... but my bf is a huge history and politics buff. But that's not what you were asking, is it?

I love me some history. It's ridiculously interesting to me. I've spent entirely too much time doing research on things that have no bearing on my life whatsoever.
But it holds my attention so whatever yo.

Yep I am. Always loved History and did it for A Level. I did English for my BA which a lot of it was History related and went back to it to do an MA in History. Specialised in the Holocaust so I know a ton about Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. Plus also a huge buff for US History.

Huge history buff. Some of my favorite series are the ones made by Terry Jones of the BBC. Medieval Lives, and his Barbarians.

I'm a big fan of US history. I nearly minored in it in college but I was one class short. If I don't get far on the current degree I'd like to become a US history teacher in the future.

I love History too. So much in fact, that I play history based games. Lame, I know. (or maybe not... Crappers have such a different opinion compared to people I know irl.)

I like history quite a bit. Revolutionary America and Greco-Roman history are favorites. Also enjoy the historical study of western religious thought. Baseball history is awesome, as well.

Love history. Reading a lot about FDR and the Great Depression lately.

To quote one of my co-workers...
"The hell with 100 years ago. Tomorrow is what you need to be concerned with."
I have, however, enjoyed my recent study of the Battle of Arnhem.

Yeah I like history too, did a minor in it while getting my bachelors. I like the non-traditonal history books like "Lies my teachers told me" and "Don't know much about History", things that kinda blow up all the nice little history lessons you get in elementary and middle (and sometimes high school). I like these too...and you know the Hitler History channel can be DAMNED good viewing. Anyone catch that PLAGUE doc they just did?

History's been my favorite subject since the 5th grade, when I was the only kid in my class to get 100% on my states/capitals test, and when I got to learn about US history, THEN go to Boston that summer to see the stuff I had just studied.
Now I'm a history/politics fanatic.

To quote one of my co-workers... "The hell with 100 years ago. Tomorrow is what you need to be concerned with." To quote George Santayana: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." I love history, and the History Channel and History Channel International are high on my "most watched cable channels" list.

Anyone catch that PLAGUE doc they just did? Only the last hour or so, but it looked pretty damn good.

It was. Fascinating stuff, and makes me fearful that were such a thing to happen today, we'd not only repeat those mistakes, but on a far grander scale.

Not talking about politics, but their series 'The Presidents' was awesome as well, and gave a wonderful overview of the men who've lead the country.
