I wasn't in the IWC in 2002. I was just a viewer who was sick and tired of seeing Triple H win and I wasn't the only one. RVD isn't my favorite wrestler, but the fact that they considered giving him the belt until feeling that doing so would somehow ruin the credibility of the title shows that at one point they realized that the guy was popular. Why they felt giving the title from a suitcase was a great idea, I'll never know but then again I thought HHH should have lost at WM 18 so maybe I'm just weird. Except that never seemed to happen and if the ratings drop from 2002 onwards is any indication, most viewers didn't care by the time it finally happened. Maybe RVD is a stoner, but you know what? Most wrestlers do that and more. After all, one of the WWF's biggest wrestlers was a raging alcoholic. But apparently pot's a bigger evil than beer. RVD could cut promos if his ECW work is any indication. It's just that because he wasn't always cracking jokes or saying numerous variations of "IM GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS" he's automatically called a bad promo. I don't think we'll ever get a full indication of why the ratings dropped in 2002. I doubt it was all because Triple-H was the champion like some would have you believe. I'm a HHHater, but I can be unbiased for this one. I don't think it was specifically "We're tired of HHH, HHH is boring, we're going to stop watching." It was more indirect. Having one established guy on top (Happened to be HHH, wouldn't matter much if it was someone else fans were well accustomed to in the main event scene, like HBK) for an extended period meant no new breakouts during that period. The usual long term wrestling fans continued watching. Many of the casual fans just weren't seeing anything new to hold their interest, no one to talk about to non wrestling fans. I was sitting at a bar once after work and they had some WWE on. The bartender, who I'm pretty sure isn't a regular WWE watcher, said "Is Cena the champ still?" I said yeah. He says "Yeah that dude is one bad mother smurfer." I thought of this board even at the time he said it. He's not the only time I've heard a non wrestling fan say stuff like that about Cena...or other similar people. WWE didn't give casual fans anyone to mention in those tones at the time though.

I'd love to see HHH put Jericho over, clean. I'm not sure if that's ever been done.

1. Jeff Hardy- In all likelihood, with the proper timing.
2. The Brian Kendrick- It's possible, but not quite yet.
3. William Regal- Maybe, but not likely.
4. Chris Jericho- Yeah, I have no trouble believing he would.
5. Vladimir Kozlov- Not likely.
6. CM Punk- Probably.
7) The Great Khali (in America and in India)- Eh, maybe.
8) Shelton Benjamin- It's possible, but the angle would need to be good. At least they have some backstory, given their old feud on Raw, way back, but probably not right now.
9) Evan Bourne- Maybe if it was promoted right, but they'd need a decent backstory. Not right now, though.
10) The Miz- Not right now, wouldn't make much sense.
11) A returning Randy Savage- Nope. There would be no point. Savage has proved what he needs to, while Triple H is still an acitve wrestler, so why bury himself?

I think I meant that I'd like to see Jericho get a pinfall or submission on HHH, without the decision being reversed or anything. He can cheat all he wants, so long as he wins. Does he even have a victory like that, over The Game?

why can you only put someone over by beating them? Undertaker beat Jeff in that ladder match on Raw years ago, but he put him over like a million bucks.

another that should be added to the list is Montell Vontavious Porter. I mean the seeds for this are already in place HHH talked crap about him not getting the job done at all at Unforgiven, than a few weeks ago on Smackdown HHH and MVP had an awesome match where MVP looked amazing and looked like he was very close to actually beating HHH. Plus WWE needs to have real heels on Smackdown and really except for Big Show, Edge (could be turning face) and Vladimir Koslov (generic foreign heel) who is there really that could challenge HHH?

I think Triple H would put over just about anyone. The bigger issue is, no matter who he put over on the roster now I dont think they;d explode to be the next big thing in the business. I dont see the next Rock or Stone Cold trying to steal Triple H's spot and Triple H holding onto his part on the card. He's traded victories with just about everyone at the top now.

With proper build-up, any of them, if HHH thought there was money to be made from it. But right now, if they asked him today, out of the blue? Jeff is the only one who has the position/proximity to HHH to do it. Punk and Jericho would both need build-up after either they or Hunter double-up shows, Kozlov doesn't have enough credibility with most crowds yet, and Kendrick has been getting shuffled down the card a little the past few weeks. Well what bout in a champ vs champ match would HHH lay down for Jericho to make him look stronger? Wouldn't beating Trip for the belt give Kozlov instant credibility? And wouldn't also rub off on whoever beat Kozlov (btw did anybody notice when trips and Koslov were standing nose to nose they were 9 feet apart?). Lets say Tripps Wanted some time off so he lays down for Kosolov clean at Cyber Sunday. Jeff then chases the seemingly unbeatable Koslov Till the Rumble. Jeff beats Koslov at the rumble. Then Tripps and Jeff fed to and thru Mania. I'd even have Jeff turn Heel rubbing Tripps face in each loss (calling him Old man an stuff, kind of the reverse of thisfeud) becoming more and more of a dick the longer he has the belt. Back to the OP would he Job to Khali in India where Khali is the second coming of Hulk Hogan and Andre the giant combined? definitely makes sens from Biz point of view.

1. Jeff Hardy- mabye, he looked like he was going to until Jeff got in trouble 2. The Brian Kendrick- not anytime soon, time will tell 3. William Regal- probably if he needed to 4. Chris Jericho- no, HHH has had plenty of times to put Jericho over when he should have, I just think HHH doesn't like Jericho, maybe Jericho banged Steph(wouldn't surprise me) 5. Vladimir Kozlov-maybe, it definitely could work 6. CM Punk- no, he is too small, HHH would say he it would not be convincing 7) The Great Khali (in America and in India)- hopefully not, this guy is worthless 8) Shelton Benjamin-no 9) Evan Bourne- no 10) The Miz- no 11) A returning Randy Savage- lol, no but I would love to see it
