When Collossus came back from the dead.
It's inevitable that Comic characters are resurrected but with Collossus his death was so moving it made me happy that he came back and that they kept it secret.

So what were some of your comic book moments that made you mark out? And that was the only part of the book I really liked. I marked out so many times reading Y the last man that I cannot pick one.

I mark out constantly with whatever Geoff johns writes.
His stories are the right kind of modern comic story,
Well written ,epic, and most important of all make sense.

It was an old issue of the Avengers(the debut of Silverclaw and Triathalon, I think), where Cap and Co. were trapped by the bad guy, who's going through his whole "bad guy speech", and then, out of nowhere "I SAY THEE..." and the baddie's like "I say thee? Aww, crap..*face erased by Thor's Hammer*" NAY! It was awesome. Cemented Thor as one of my top ten Marvel characters.

I hate to say it, but...Magneto is Xorn.
Reading that, as I was pretty involved in the comic at the time, my heart jumped into my throat.

Oh, actually pretty much every Page of Secret Six right now. Dammit that book is awesome. Bane has been turned in to one of the coolest characters in comics.

I'll think of more later but since Busiek has been mentioned -Marvels, with his story and the first time I'd really saw Alex Ross's art made me mark consistently through that entire four issue run. It's still probably my favorite story of all time.

Still one of the most badass moments in comics.

In Avengers vs Justice League when Aquaman saves Superman from an Avenger beatdown by appearing out of the ocean on a Scott Steiner version of the Loch Ness Monster.

When Collossus came back from the dead. It's inevitable that Comic characters are resurrected but with Collossus his death was so moving it made me happy that he came back and that they kept it secret. As much as I like the character, Colossus should have stayed dead given his death stopped the Legacy virus. The last time I marked out was in an issue of Green Lanturn. Hal is in his jet and a Manhunter is attacking. His ring is out of power, his battery is in his locker and he notices the Manhunter's head is a PowerBatterry. He ejects and jumps at the Manhunter to recharge.

My biggest markout moment ever was in Thor 375. Thor had just returned from Hel after breaking a curse place on him by Hela. He knows that Loki had something to do with a lot of the suffering he went through while under the curse, and confronts him directly. Loki denies that he had anything to do with Thor's dilemma, and that Thor owes him for "saving" him from Hela.
Thor proceeds to break Loki's arm with his hammer...so that Loki can't just use magic to heal it.
I squealed like a school girl when I saw that!!

Back in 95 just before the Age of Apocalypse when Wolverine popped his claws in Sabretooth's brain.
I wish Larry Hama would write Wolverine again.

I mark out all the time reading comics. The last big one was the last page of Secret Invasion #4, that featured the arrival of Thor and then the glimpse of Captain America rushing to join him.
I think this thread is proving that nobody brings the mark-out moments like Thor.

I marked out 3 times during Infinite Crisis
1. When Conner goes after Superboy-Prime, and winds up saving the world.
2. After Conner's death Superboy-Prime is still whining and Bart Allen comes out of nowhere and just starts kicking his ass.
3. During the fight on Mogo Superboy-Prime says he'll be a better Superman, than Superman is. Superman responds by beating him down, and saying that it's not where he comes from, or his powers, or his suit that makes him Superman. It's what he does, his actions that make him Superman.
You just had to mark when someone kicked Superboy-Prime's ass.
