I have an Austin tape (Hell Yeah from 1999), a lady asks him for an auto WHILST HE'S DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY!!!! And he's still polite about being unable to. Of course, there was a WWF camera there filming him as well. One could say he was technically on the clock. That is, if you wanna get technical about it.

As has been said earlier in this thread, we, the fans put money into the wrestler's pockets, so the least they can do at any time when encountering a fan, is be polite. That is of course, unless the other person is rude to them to begin with. I wouldn't expect them to stand and sign autographs for every single person, but having manners I do expect.
I'm also a bit curious as to how some posts in this thread are not classed as flaming towards the fan in question.

I usually hate hearing stories about wrestlers blowing off fans, but the guy just got off a plane after touring IRAQ. The fan should have had some common sense in this instance.
I think this is why wrestlers have these autograph signings, it's basically a way of saying "THIS is where you can ask me for an autograph, moron".

I love how so many fans think that celebrities owe it to them to bend over backwards for them at any time. Yes, what a task standing still for a photo and/or scribbling your name on a piece of paper. Poor, poor Punk.

comment from the site i got it from . This kind of crap pisses me off. What did the guy do to these people to deserve a person an attack like that? I don't blame him for making his account private now. As an aside, that ring looks horrible. To the indie wrestlers on this board I ask this; how safe does it look? Is it as dangerous to work in as it looks? Actually, with the marching band behind it and just the odd look of it I think it MIGHT be a parade float.

This is beyond hilarious...Camping out at 6am to approach a group of individuals coming back from a flight from IRAQ and expecting them to be completely cordial...Then people have the audasity to wonder why wrestlers are rude at times...because of almost stalkerish lengths some uber-obsessed wrestling fans go to for the most miniscule of things...Any other celebrities from any other line of work and you would have been swifty pushed aside from their body guards yet in a sport where the guys are as big if not bigger then the body guards you attempt to approach them in a situation like this and expect a good outcome? Also the line that "we support the wrestlers" is a tired one and null and void...We also support bands and actors, as well as every Wal-Mart employee across the country by seeing their movies, buying their music, or buying their over priced, cheaply made products but you wouldnt treat them like that...People got to stop thinking that the world and the individuals they love owe them something...isnt it enough that they bust their ass for our entertainment week in and week out?
I agree that maybe the reply he received wasnt nice and proper but give the wrestlers a break...they are not larger then life...they are not cartoons...and they sure as hell arent super heros...they are regular guys/girls with their own problems trying to make a paycheck in this overly obsessive world...
Enjoy what you love but for gods sakes dont smother it to death...

When punk came up here to do an official signing ( because i think waiting for them outside a hotel/restaurant/airport is being rude ) he was very nice to wards me and everyone else, and even cracked a joke to wards me because i was drinking a coke ( something along the lines of "how dare you insult my love of Pepsi" i lol'd ) here's a thought for next time don't be a creepy stalker fan let them enjoy the few minutes of normal time they have before you and your friends swarm him for an autograph.

I usually don't ask for autographs. If they seem in a good mood I'll go for the handshake. If not I'll just yell out a quick "(insert name) your the man!" or something like that. and then I'm out.

I want to see Punk go on Raw next week and start complaining about the WWE fans don't say please and thank you enough. Then at the end of the interview he should say, " I want to kill half of you, and the other half are on notice."

LMAO @ everybody using "The Douche" as this guy's nick name now... ...okay, listen up. CM Punk is a jerk and that's a known fact. Even he doesn't lie about it. It's even part of his in-ring character. It is what it is. This other guy is a complete loser though. Let's see, you got publicly shunned by a wrestler you like when he wasn't in the mood for dumb ish. Your first response is to: A. Let it go and eat your breakfast B. Apologize and try again from the top C. Go home and write an angry letter to said wrestler Pathetical.

The fan was probably of the annoying/obsessive kind, but Punk had no right to be that rude.
If he was in a hurry/didn't feel like taking pics or scribbling his name on a piece of paper, fair enough, but a "sorry guys, I gotta run" wouldn't have killed him, and would have left the fans less disappointed.
Not the first time we hear about Punk being a bit of an ass to the fans... How many more evidence do we need to accept it as a "fact"?

If you're going to meet CM Punk you need to come prepared and educated. 1. Be calm, don't be an internet smark in terms of asking if he wishes he was a heel; he'll then heel on you. General ROH questions are fine. 2. If you're a teenage girl, you automatically have a serious shield against CM Punk, he'll be cordial. If you're a fat woman, he'll be cordial. The female race calms him down. 3. Try to place yourself in his shoes at the exact time as you meet him and say please and thank you when appropriate. 4. If all else fails, claim you're from Chicago and you hate the Cubs. Surprisingly, he'll likely laugh. You forgot, "Don't shoot him. You'll only make him mad."

I love how so many fans think that celebrities owe it to them to bend over backwards for them at any time. With so many celebrities saying "thank you, fans, I owe it all to you" at awards shows or other public appearances, I can see where the fans are coming from.

Punk is awesome, I would have done the same thing. Getting pictures and autographs are pointless and overrated. Making 12,000 posts about these same wrestlers is much more fulfilling as a fan.

Punk can be an ass if even half the reports of fan interaction is true. People used to say the same thing about Batista when he would be too tired during autograph sessions to take photos with everyone. Punk seems to escape the scorn, but he overreacted.
At the same time, fans camping out to try to catch a jet-lagged performer from an overseas flight and getting butt-hurt when they're given a dirty look is just hysterical.

All I have to say is.....why does being fat, "ugly", and a wrestling fan automatically mean you deserve to be mocked? Yeah, the guy is probably a bit "much", but that doesn't make him a douche, jackoff, etc.
