I'll simply say that as revered as it IS, it's a no-brainer that they'd try and re-do it, to capitalize on that love.

You know I'd bet about 95% of these suggestions were thought of already.

They already had thought of remaking Smokey and The Bandit - with Will Smith as the Bandit.

Predator is being remade, so is Conan, Nightmare on Elm Street, and tons others. I forget were I read it but I believe there's currently over 100 remakes in some form of being made or are in "development".

TRON remake is in the works.
IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE has had remakes of sorts, MR DESTINY for one.
MTV is planning a ROCKY HORROR one. I say they should use the idea a friend of mine from college had, use the Muppets. Scooter is perfect for Brad.
