Theres movies that actually HAVEN'T been remade? Yeah, I'm as shocked as you are. Cela's list has pretty much all of the ones *I* could come up with.

There's a couple of low-budget movies that I'd kind of like to see remade... If only that the originals would be released again on DVD, but the only one I can think of right now is...
"Massacre at Central High" - hot topic (high-school bullying, revenge, violence and how it can spin out of control) makes it seem like a slam-dunk for a remake. Maybe too controversial?

They're doing a remake of this.. Why haven't they made a remake of Escape From New YOrk? *waits for someone to say that Escape from LA was a remake of Escape from New York*

Top Gun.
I dread the day it's remade.

I think everyone should at least say why they want a movie remade. It seems rather pointless to just name a movie but not give the reason why you want it remade.
I'd like to add another movie to the list, if I may......
Manos: The Hands of Fate First, you can only improve on this movie. Secondly, let Rob Zombie direct it but keep the story similar and it would probably be a good movie. Not great, good.

I would like to see a RUNNING MAN remake and have it be more true to the book. That book was actually ahead of it's time because the show is a Reality Program not a Game Show

You know I'd bet about 95% of these suggestions were thought of already. They already had thought of remaking Smokey and The Bandit - with Will Smith as the Bandit. Predator is being remade, so is Conan, Nightmare on Elm Street, and tons others. I forget were I read it but I believe there's currently over 100 remakes in some form of being made or are in "development". DEAR GOD, NO!! Conan is so identified with Arnie that it would be bound to fail (it's also one of my faves) and Predator??!! I don't mind if they do that one, but only if the POredator design isn't tampered with. That bad boy is iconic!

They are remaking Creature From The Black Lagoon, Logan's Run was thought of, and Conan was going to be done by Brett Ratner but I don't know what's happening with that now.
Escape From New York is also being remade.
Who says creativity is dead? Ahem.

Godfather? Gone with the Wind? ET? Jaws? The Last Starfighter? Enter the Dragon? IT? Labyrinth? Rocky Horror? Mr. Smith goes to Washington? Its a Wonderful Life? Wizard of Oz? My Fair Lady? The Lion King? Bridge over the River Kwai? Lawrence of Arabia? Commando? Conan? Pumaman? A Tree Grows in Brooklyn? Tron? Any of those? TRON remake is in the works. IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE has had remakes of sorts, MR DESTINY for one. MTV is planning a ROCKY HORROR one. I say they should use the idea a friend of mine from college had, use the Muppets. Scooter is perfect for Brad. I thought the Tron movie was a sequel, not a remake. I could be wrong ... I would like to see a RUNNING MAN remake and have it be more true to the book. That book was actually ahead of it's time because the show is a Reality Program not a Game Show Yes, that's what I thought when I saw the movie the first time. The movie stands on it's own as an enjoyable Arnie action film, but it was so far different from the story. But if they were going to do another movie from the Bachman books, I would rather see them do one of the other stories, like The Long Walk or Rage. But I don't think that they would do either, as the subject material may be touchy.

Smokey and the Bandit is screaming for a remake. Jason Lee - Bandit Johnny Knoxville - Snowman Zooey Deschanel - Frog And as Sheriff Buford T. Justice - Stone Cold Steve Austin There would be no Junior. No, no, you'd have to have Junior, and he could be played by Joel Moore from Dodgeball. Love the choice of Knoxville as Snowman, for some reason.

Logan's Run is the one flick I always champion. I think an expanded updated version could be quite cool.
and as has been said, there's supposed to have been one for awhile.. but I ain't seen it made yet, so a-championin it I shall still do.
