Some actors do comedies and then once they get a taste of success with a drama or action film they pretty much do that for the rest of their careers.
I wanna see Tom Hanks do a straight up comedy-he is hilarious.
I wanna see Sean Penn do a goofy comedy-show me your real acting skills and make a comedy.
Shia Lebouf is a great comedic actor-some of his movies have a couple of funny moments here and there, but he really needs to do some comedy films IMO.
Who do you think should make a comedy for a change of pace.

Dame Judy Dench. And Jack Black. In a comedy where the new Prime Minister of England Winifred Chips(Dench) is visited by her recently discovered son Marty Fish(Black) and the hilarity ensues!

Daniel Day-Lewis.
He and Adam Sandler are a pair of inept zookeepers who accidentally let a gorilla escape.

I want to see Javier Bardiem play the Berries and Cream Lad in a new Starburst commercial.
They have similar hairstyles. Plus, it'd be hilarious if the Berries and Creme lad carried around a compressed air gun.

I wanna see Tom Hanks do a straight up comedy-he is hilarious. I know it's not a complete "straight up" comedy, but tom Hanks early films are hilarious. Particuarly Money Pit. Anyone see Tom Cruise in the latest Ben Stiller film?

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

I wanna see Tommy Lee Jones in a comedy, and this time he's not the straight man. He plays the goofy sidekick and Rowdy Roddy Piper plays the straight man.
Rowdy Roddy Piper is Lester "Scotch" McBride.
Tommy Lee Jones is James "Soda" Pops.
These 2 buddy cops are gonna clean up the streets. When the day is done, everyone will cheer for ... Scotch and Soda.
Okay, that was lame, but I made it that way ...

He was in STRANGERS WITH CANDY: THE MOVIE Anthony Hopkins never made a comedy. He and Jack Black should make THE UNORTHADOX BUTLER (or whatever that FAMILY GUY bit was)

Alan Rickman and Gary Oldman...and maybe Christian Bale. Alan Rickman was in both Dogma and Galaxy Quest. He's done comedy before, pretty good comedy at that. In fact, his dry wit in Dogma is one of the film's many, many high points.

You wouldn't say that if you'd seen it. I thought it was dreadful.
