Somebody get Kosuke on the blower and tell him he's playing another 150 games this season.

Sucks for the Mets and Johan. I'd much rather Santana be healthy all season and go 6-17 with a 5.76 ERA

Somebody get Kosuke on the blower and tell him he's playing another 150 games this season. It was just a tight quad. Precautionary measure. Not a pull, strain, or sprain. Just some tightness during February baseball. No cause for concern. I have a better feeling about Bradley than I did about Cliff Floyd, that's for sure. And I'm thinking Jacque Jones production without the inconsistency and ground ball throwing arm.

Eaton's ERA would be over 7 if he pitched a full year. Speaking of Eaton, he's available to pitch opening day for the Mets if Johan is injured.

Speaking of Eaton, he's available to pitch opening day for the Mets if Johan is injured. Mets will just put Pelf or Maine out there. Hopefully Johan only misses one game at most...otherwise we could see Livan Hernandez AND Freddy Garcia starting at least 1 game (shutters)

And go figure, he stayed healthy all year. I imagine that playing Right is going to tear him to peices like his old self is use to.

I think Schilling could be a decent 5th starter. I'd take the chance

I think Schilling could be a decent 5th starter. I'd take the chance He won't be in game shape for a while, but how can you not do it when he's said money isn't that big a deal. He's a glory hound. If he can be a part of the Cubs (or Rays) winning the World Series, that allows him to retire and retain enough name recognition for him to remain a relevant internet blowhard. But for a World Series on the North Side? Worth it!

If you don't think Lou is the "Royal God Of Bat And Ball", you won't last long.

Now Marmol IS pitching in the WBC. Man I hate this tournament. Why can't they play it AFTER the season is over?

Now Marmol IS pitching in the WBC. Man I hate this tournament. Why can't they play it AFTER the season is over? They have to get rid of the tournament period. It's a waste of time. Supposedly, Santana got hurt because he was rushing himself to play for the tournament (he eventually was pulled out of it pre-injury)
