Last night's Family Guy was the funniest for me in a long while. They've still been amusing, but this was outright, laugh out loud funny for me.
The shtick with the TNG cast was the best. "Get me a McDLT"

Last night's Family Guy was the funniest for me in a long while. They've still been amusing, but this was outright, laugh out loud funny for me. The shtick with the TNG cast was the best. "Get me a McDLT" I agree. I thought the last two episodes were awful, but then they pulled this one out. It's kinda weird Stewie and the TNG cast were the "B" story compared to the Meg/Brian stuff. I guess Seth felt like making a speech. Man, Brent Forrester had some pretty funny lines in the episode. Also for those, like me, who were wondering what a "McDLT" is/was:

The only bit I laughed at was God as Flash Gordon but that would be funny anyway. The lack of humour in FG is just depressing me as it is one of my fave shows.

It's not the same thing as a Big N Tasty. Found better explanation of what a McDLT is so happily fixed. Also bad for the enviroment as they are am I the only one that misses the styrofoam packaging?

I laughed at the Punchout joke that's for sure.
I really can't stand when they heap abuse on Meg tho, it's something I'll never understand about FG.

One of the reasons I miss it. ;D When a tv show would talk about the enviroment and show footage of trash dumps the styrofoam packaging was always near the top.

I was just about to start a thread about this one.
....but yes, after 2 dismal episodes, this was a flat out great one. (Perhaps it was the God as Flash Gordon gag - the 2nd one this season....hey, and that episode was great too) It shows that when they care enough about a plot, they give it their all and it pays off. That's why I'm still believing the ESB special will be great.
I think the fact that the TNG guys' plot had NOTHING to do with Trek whatsoever made their cameos even better. Seth & the rest could've bogged it down with Trek bit after Trek bit, but instead they just had fun and it came out great.
I didn't care for the A plot's resolution (book burning? really?) until Rob Lowe and Adam West appeared. A weird but funny payoff.
