Have the mods ever thought of updating the "Wrestling FAQs (Urban Legends)" thread? In particular, the section dealing with forum fads; I've seen newer members inquire about some of the more recent ones. Off the top of my head, you could include:
"Basketballs don't hold grudges" Bob Holly/Chris Benoit Undertaker taping his fists Mickie James and a certain restaurant (if there's a way to explain it without breaking the forum rules. I know people would rather just see it go away, but it does come up and those new to the forum might not get it. If not, just ignore this one.)

On my "to do" list but don't expect results anytime soon. File this under "eventually".

I have a minor question. How many active mods do we have now?

I have a feeling I know the answer to this, but I figured I'd ask here before I post this in the forums.
Is discussion of the new George Bush movie W allowed? I know we're trying to avoid anything super political here, but it's also entertainment.

I know we're trying to avoid anything super political here, but it's also entertainment. Discussing the Administration is of course off limits, but the movie W. itself is fine, as long as nothing crosses the lines into heavy political territory. That's unless another Mod feels differently.

I know we're trying to avoid anything super political here, but it's also entertainment. If you can somehow manage a discussion about it with no politics at all, that is fine. Seeing as what the subject matter is I don't see how that will end up being accomplished though.

Dropped page count down a little. Let's see if that works better for everyone.

Hey, I'll tie this whole page together and get us back on topic!
Why the mandatory number of posts per page?

Hey, I'll tie this whole page together and get us back on topic! Why the mandatory number of posts per page? The who-what? If you mean why pages are set at certain lengths before moving to a second page, that's ProBoards. We just toy with how many posts there are before it happens. We started at 15, but that seemed too few so I bumped it to 30, but that's caused problems with loading, so we knocked it back down again to somewhere in between.

I want to use my record label's logo as a sig, and want the picture to link to our website. What's the html code for doing so? I did it once before, but I can't remember how...

Something from the previous AAM thread I would like to respond to at this point. just curious, is there a lifetime listing of all banned people? I would be interested to know out of morbid curiosity the sheer amount of folks banned over the years. There is indeed a listing. Along with that list of names, we keep records of silly things like IPs, locations...stuff like that.

Why is it okay to make a new thread for each match in a tournament if we're not allowed to make a new thread for each round?

Why is it okay to make a new thread for each match in a tournament if we're not allowed to make a new thread for each round? Actually, I'm starting to grow a bit concerned with the number of "Best _____ Day 28922" threads running around on various subjects. Hint.

Out of curiosity why are old threads locked when they are bumped up again, when the subject matter may still be a relevant discussion point?

Out of curiosity why are old threads locked when they are bumped up again, when the subject matter may still be a relevant discussion point? Because the same poster bumped several threads in WWE Current that were months old, just to add a comment. Personally I find that rather unnecessary.

Out of curiosity, why are there so many threads about Divas locked all of a sudden? Out of curiosity why are old threads locked when they are bumped up again, when the subject matter may still be a relevant discussion point? Because the same poster bumped several threads in WWE Current that were months old, just to add a comment. Personally I find that rather unnecessary. Just a follow-up: It's not against the rules to bump up an old thread PROVIDED you add some sort of legitimate content to it. Dredging one up to just say "I agree" or "yeah he sucks" or "OMG FTW" - no. If you're just repeating what others have said, no. Make it worthwhile bumping and it'll stay open.

How many youtube videos are we allowed to embed or whatever in each post? At the moment let's say the official rule is a "sensible" amount. Try not to exceed 3 or 4 at most on a page EVER to fall in lines with the "links per post" rule elsewhere in the rules page, but limiting a bit more than that to 2-3 would be for the best in a normal situation. If everyone for a whole page is posting 2-3 in every post that might be an issue tho so in a mass posting situation stick with one if possible. EDIT: I updated this to be a bit more accurate.
