Yeah, MS Saga looked pretty neat. I never got around to playing it, mostly because my PS2 backlog is obscenely large, but I will eventually. Glad to know it's pretty fun to customize the mecha. Dude, pretty fun doesn't accurately describe it. OCD, however, does. Your pilot characters have stats. The suits have stats. This means that different characters are better suited for particular Gundams. The Pilots learn special techniques as they level up. The suits have different sized grids for weapon equipment purposes. All the weapons take up a set amount of grid space so you must Tetris them out to a good balance. Each weapon uses a set number of energy points as well so equipping "Turbo Laser Cannon X" that uses an asston of energy is sometimes impractical if not physically impossible. The suits can each be upgraded to level twenty-four. (as far as I can tell) They can be outfitted with different limb parts that change their stats (defense, speed, etc.) and some provide them with some offensive capabilities. And lastly, they can be equipped with different optional parts that provide you with a host of different possibilities. Three to a party, but as you gain main party folk you can swap them in and out ala FF X. EDIT: LOL. Were all that not enough, you can customize the color palettes of your MS.

...my god but that sounds ridiculously deep for a licensed game. I must seek it out.

Mobile Suit Gundam was nice, despite a dated look. The movies are worth seeing for the updated animation and visuals as well as bringing up Newtypes sooner instead of having it shoved at the very end.
Zeta Gundam is DARK. Almost a Dark Knight kind of dark. A lot of characters are unlikeable other then the ones from the previous show and there are way too many mechs in this show.
ZZ. I haven't seen. I hear it's half good and half stupid.
Chars Counterattack is great after seeing it once. The first time it was too hard to follow at times. Great action scenes with a nice epic feel.
War in the Pocket. Very short but nicely contained. Gundam Wing has hundreds of guys die and no one cares, one person dies and it means a lot. I took that from another site, but it's oh so true.
Stardust Memory. Looks nice but another bunch of characters I can't stand. Defintely style over substance. Starts great but gets pretty bad later with a lot of pointless fighting. I hate Nina Purpleton.
08th MS Team. Awesome. This one is substance over style. My favorite cast of characters and Norris and his Gouf rocks your nuts. Could have used a little more fighting scenes though.
G Gundam. Looked corny. I didn't watch much of it.
Gundam Wing. Loved it when I first saw it, but no one thing I saw really stood out and after I watched the original shows (or UC shows) I never turned back. Too many pretty people, too much pretentious talk and way too out of touchwith realtiy. Endless Waltz looks gorgous but soaks up what made the show bad.
F91. Take what was supposed to be another long running show and got truncated into a movie. Something got lost in the compression. Really could have been something as a movie series.
Seed. A retread of the original show. I hear it gets better towards the end, but another show with way too much yakking like Wing from what I saw.
Seed Destiny. Haven't seen it, but I hear theres more of the same.
Gundam 00. Another weird little kid in a mobile suit turned me away from this show. Better then Wing.
Igloo. Nice if too short series. Nice change of pace instead of whining kids. Episodes all ended the same more or less. Must see Igloo 2 or whatever they're calling it.

I totally disagree with you on Wing and SEED. But I don't mind the wordiness of them. In fact it's something I like about them. Different strokes, I guess.
I also disagree on Stardust Memory. I thought it was a fantastic show.
I pretty much agree on everything else I can speak on though.
And Zeta, while I haven't watched it yet, was apparently another one of the shows that cemented the nickname "Kill 'em All" Tomino. So I'd understand it's pretty dark, yeah.

I also disagree on Stardust Memory. I thought it was a fantastic show. /quote] Stardust memory started so awesome but got so bad. I HATE NINA. Flakier then a box of Wheaties and Gato, I never understood why everyone likes him. He's like a puppet. Norris would own his sorry butt. The whole middle story with Kous love affair with Nina and the story on the moon really sank the show and it tried to pick itself back up. The first four episodes were great.

Yeah I can see that. I still thought it was pretty sweet though.

I used to watch Gundam Wing all the time, when it was shown aside Dragonball Z and Tenchi Muyo, on Cartoon Network. I remembered how much they hyped up Endless Waltz. It then moved to a channel called "CNX" where I was introduced to Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star. Or am I considered a loser, since I discovered it through Cartoon Network?

Nope, thats how most people discovered it and most anime fans liked Toonami.
