Rorschach's Journal, March 26, 2009,
Must take vengeance out on men who make
me look so stupid. Apparently, I must be blind,
even with the fact I was able to break into
military center to see Manhattan and Spectre.
These people are the plague of society.
So, after done ogling at Sophie, will take action. ;D

May take while to be done ogling Sophie. Have not had woman in such long time, is nice to look at one on internet for while. May call Daniel and see if he will visit Manhattan and Spectre for me. Ogling Sophie could take all night.

Just got done watching chapter 1 of the motion comic on the Black Freighter DVD....would not be bad, except for the fact that only having the one voice actor makes all the females sound like drag queens.

Confused Watchmen Fans Mistake Michael Jackson For RorschachSpotted at a Hollywood book store yesterday buying a boxed-set of his own music, Michael Jackson doused rumors he's gravely ill by sporting only a skimpy, single-layer face mask and bogeyman cloak.
Patrons instantly took notice of the faceless figure in a fedora and raincoat thumbing through a The Art of WALL·E coffee table book, and mistook the deposed pop monarch for inkblot-faced Watchmen vigilante Rorschach. Squealing fans quickly mobbed the singer, who despite being baffled by their queries of "Omigod I love you—is The Comedian here too?!" was happy to oblige their autograph requests just the same.
This is too funny.

This is too funny. That put a huge smile on my face! Also, is it just me or does Michael look more like the Invisible Man?

Rorschach's Journal, March 28, 2009
Must begin plan to take vengeance out on
music man Michael Jackson.
Making me look like a pedophile, especially
since it's one of the many things I loathe.
Beatles fans will thank me as well, since
it will end the tyranny of copyright issues.
Hopefully Nite Owl will join crusade, but doubtful,
as he has "other plans" possibly for tonight.
Why are so many of us weak and prone while
so few are still strong and without disorders?
Would ask Manhattan, but as he left Earth years ago,
somewhat impossible.

So, finally saw the movie last night, and I have to say, it's really good. Not as absolutely amazing as it could have been, but really good.
Personally, I would have liked the "Alien InVasion" ending myself. Would have been funny as hell. But I can understand why they didn't go that route. Also, the small hints after reading it and then knowing what to look for in the movie were great.

I've also fully come to grips with the fact that I really don't like the fight scenes. One of my friends saw it, knew I read the book, and asked why they didn't show how the heroes got super strength. The first fight in particular was pretty bad about this, and went on too long for my liking. Considering there's only five people in the entire movie capable of moving like that, and one of them is killed in the first scene, it really trims down who the possible killer is. I know the murder mystery is really just sort of there in the original, but showing the fight and most of Comedian's attacker seems like it could ruin any surprises for a new viewer. Adrian's ending is also kind of a let down, as I prefer his last scene to be the one of him talking to Dr. M, but Adrian all around is a lot more entertaining and charismatic in the comic. He just seemed so much happier at saving the day in comic form.

I agree with you on the fight scenes J.D. The one that really bugged me was the pointless fight when Dan and Laurie break out Rorschach. Then I thought the fight in the alley against the Knot Tops was way too violent. Laurie snapping necks and Dan nearly ripping peoples arms off. Another thing that bugged me is they made it seem like Rorschach was some Kung Fu master or something. He jumps out of Moloch's window then has some Bruce Lee fight with the police in the streets. Really unnecessary if you ask me.

Just saw it at the cinema. Really enjoyed the film overall and certainly felt it was different to the usual comic book films you get. Nice soundtrack too.
