...I would imagine just another gay couple. Gay couples would exist publicly in hyper fascitic cold war era nixon land without being ex superheroes? The novel had the lesbian couple of the butch driver and the regular chick.

Also, did anyone else DL that Watchmen video game? I did, and I don't know if my copy is buggy or what, but playing as Nite Owl, there is a prompt towards the end missing, so I cannot open a door that Rorschach has to go through....and playing as Rorschach, in the final battle with Underboss, Nite Owl simply stands there and gets in the way, instead of helping me out at all. Well, I have it for 360, and it's fine. It usually makes me stand by the side of the door as Nite Owl, to make room for Rorschach crawling under. Maybe its that, or maybe it's the game itself. In my game, Owl fights Underboss and the henchmen that rain down.

In my game, Owl fights Underboss and the henchmen that rain down. See, and in mine for PS3, Nite Owl just stands there stupidly while I get annihilated by Underboss and his henchmen. Literally just stands there posing. Needless to say, THAT is annoying as hell.

They were having a fight in pubic at the end about their relationship, with Rorschach's psychiatrist going to help, and the two detectives looking to break it up. Then.......Ozy F'n Mandias.

i thought it was okay. certainly won't go to see it again. the first hour was just a mess as they tried to set the scene, introduce characters, back stories etc and i was wondering if it was going anywhere at all.
it eventually picked up when rorscach gets framed, though the ending was let down by a duff bad guy.
my overwhelming feeling come the end of it was that it was long and boring with the occasional good bit thrown in (the prison sequence was the highlight for me).
i'll look into reading the comic to see if i understand what it is that people love so much about the watchmen.

Saw it again last night. Definitely enjoyed it more on the second viewing. Its not without its flaws, but it makes for a damn good picture. The one thing I would change would have either explain Bubastis, or not put it in altogether. Its the one thing that just doesn't fit in the entire movie.

Just saw it for the first time last night.
Loved the music selection, liked how they did the did the ending.
I likely won't see it again though, because I don't think the rest translated well at all.

The one thing I would change would have either explain Bombastis, or not put it in altogether. Its the one thing that just doesn't fit in the entire movie. "Hello, Bubastis." This was another of the big things that the comic fans were griping about; the seemingly out of nowhere introduction of Veidt's genetically altered lynx Bubastis. Hopefully, we'll get a scene or two explaining the sudden appearance of the big cat, but I highly doubt it. I think Snyder did it more to appease the comic fans than anything else, as he didn't have TIME to go through Veidt's backstory as well, and to leave Bubastis out entirely would have been unforgivable.

I made to the Dr. Manhattan part, and then I had to run to the bathroom before I pissed myself.

I made to the Dr. Manhattan part, and then I had to run to the bathroom before I pissed myself. Oh, him rubbing his blue dick against Rorschach's hand? THAT part got me laughing too...that and the whole, "I'll show the Comedian who's EDGY!" bit. Awesome stuff.
