So, do you eat front and back parts of a loaf of bread? I don't. I give them to my dogs. They're gross and usually hard.

if they're there I consume them, even though they are usually extremely weak and break easily

I'm not one to waste food, so yes. Probably a combination of not having much food and also of being fat.

I avoid them like the plague. The texture is unappealing, and it just grosses me out.

The first thing I do when I get a new loaf of bread is throw the ends out. I cant stand them. The only thing I hate about loaves of bread more than the crust ends is when you get an odd number of slices. It completely ruins the flow of my sandwich making

I mean, I can understand if it happens with toast slice bread, because you can make toast with one slice, but having two slices is one of the fundamentals of the sandwich.

If it's "real bread" sure thing... actually it's often the best part.
If it's "plastic bread", then I'll leave it to someone else

The outsider. Great for a toastie, great for French toast... not so much for just eating. But yeah, I like it.

They're gross and usually hard. Funny, my Ex-girlfriend once described me the same way, so I can't help but pull for that end piece. Literally.

The crust of the bread is nice if the bread is fresh from the bakery, good with soup.

I don't eat the heels, no. BTW, I just learned that's the proper term as my dad got a job this past year with the local bread manufacturer. The crust refers to all parts of the bread on the outside.
Oh, and since he's working there... I don't have to eat the ends because we always have tons of bread. The plant he works for apparently goes for speed, so they end up overrunning orders. Other times weird stuff happens. For instance, if one piece of the loaf hits the floor, the rest is bagged and pulled out. Sometimes a loaf is under size and one day for some reason I don't know... he brought home a loaf of bread that was cut sideways.

I don't eat bread much, usually only for toast and Peanut Butter sandwiches-never ate the ass end though that I can recall
