I tried the demo today, and I don't understand why they had to change the controls. There was nothing wrong with SvR2009's controls, and the quicktime events just seemed kinda lame to me. Because then people would complain about it being the same old Smackdown vs. Raw shit they have been feeding us for years. It's a novelty game, so they decided to try something different with the gameplay.

I downloaded and played the demo. Here's some random thoughts. -You have the theme for Austin and Rock, but you only have Hogan and Andre playable? Boo! I wanted to stun someone! -I hope that the rolling ring aren't for every arena and every person as their entrance. I wanted to see people walk out from the entrance and down the hall to the ring. -I don't mind the Quick Time Events here, since they aren't life or death things like in other games (I'm looking right at YOU, Spiderman: Web of Shadows, and Resident Evil 4 & 5!) The other controls, though, are just bad. All the double presses and triple presses and the weird run moves and the general controls are just horrible. I prefer the old Legends of Wrestling scheme compared to this. -I don't like JR and King as commentators. It just doesn't mesh with me for this game. They didn't bug me or annoy me, but seem out of place.

Actually you can play as Austin in the Wrestlemania mode. And the only arenas that use the ring cart are WM III and VI like in real life.

I just played the demo, and I really enjoyed it, as a long time player of the Smackdown (and later SvR) series, it's a bit of fresh air to see a new engine and control scheme, I really don't think the SvR controls would of worked with what this game is supposed to be, a arcade-style game to match the style of classic WWF/E matches.

if you could get backwards compatibility (i.e Legends to SvR) i'd buy the game. But i'm not buying this.

Video of a Royal Rumble match www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsWDid-sfVEThis looks like quite an improvement over the Smackdown vs Raw Rumble matches, I enjoy the Rumble matches on that game so I know for sure I will enjoy this.

good to see two people teaming up to try to get you over the ropes isn't an INSTANT elimination like it is is SvR

But once again, people always complained about the Smackdown gameplay. And a different team and a different IP, they wanted to make it a different style. People have been wanting a new style of gameplay.
