As a person who knows NOTHING about the X Men going in..never seen a movie or read a comic..I LOVED the movie. I generally don;t care for comic based films..but I liked this better than The Watchmen and even The Dark Knight. It even made me go out and buy the rest of the trilogy... Of course if I knew these characters or anything about the movie going in I might think different...but coming from a guy with no preconcieved notions of expectations I give it a strong B+. This is my face right now.

Lord I thank you for the test you bestow apound me every day; An giving me the chance to prove to everyone esspecially on this thread I can bit my tongue before I insult someone for what I myself take as isanity; But you our in titled to your opinion and I respect it but I want to ask you Biafara why did a person whom has avoid the whole movie trilogy up to this point go to it prequel ?
An before anyone jumps on me I am asking a honest question not trying to be mean or anything and I understand he has the right to go see anything he wants to go see but by the same token I have the right to ask the question...... Why did you go see it and why did it propell you into buying the other three movies when you could have easily had rent them from the library for free or video store for couple buck ?

Suprised this has it's own sticky thread, though I suppose this place has a lot of comic book fans. I thought it was a decent popcorn flick but I'm not in a rush to see it again or anything.

Because my wife wanted to see it because she is a fan of the series: and since it was ten bucks for the whole trilogy and we had enough money on a gift card we bought it. People really need to snorking relax....I went in knowing nothing about the series, liked the movie a lot and that's it. Does that really bother people?

^ I knew nothing about the series either so maybe for people who have grew up with the X-Men they don't like it because it's not like the X-Men that they know.

I was a fan of the X-Men cartoon series and first two movies, but I've never been huge on comics really. That being said, I really liked the movie. I didn't think it was AMAZING, but it was pretty good.

Which is FINE, and totally understandable. That's why I took the time to say I have NO experience with these characters and if I had it might have been different, then gave my honest opinion. People really need to relax.

I went into the film as a comic book fan familiar with the characters and I still loved the movie.

I don't like you anymore all because of this and only this. I hope you're happy with yourself. By the way, none of this is sarcasm. None at all. Don't think it is. Because it's not. If you thought it was, it would be a mistake... because it's not. Nope. None at all.... NONE. Get it? Got it? Good. No sarcasm from me.

I actually enjoyed this movie a bit more than I thought I would (in that, I figured it would be a comical disaster). And for the record.....I really don't mind what they did with Deadpool. *ducks and hides* Missed the extra ending bit with him, though.

I'm one of those who is boycotting this movie and many others like it. All I know of X Men, Dead Pool, or most of the Marvel Universe comes from saturday morning cartoons or the Ultimate Alliance video game. And even I know they screwed up just from reading the reviews. I'm not watching it because I am so sick of every movie in the theaters being a comic book movie, a remake, a prequal, a sequal, or an adaption. I'm staying away from these movies until they slow down on making so many of them and start making some original movies again. At first seeing all these movies was fun, kind of a novelty. But they have made too many and I just don't want to pay to see this trash anymore. It doesn't help that fans are always mad at these movies. It just reenforces why I'm not going to watch them anymore.

I loved it, didn't even mind the portrayal of Deadpool/Weapon XI.
However, how can you guys forget how freaking AWESOME Gambit was.

Gambit was one of my favorite parts of the whole thing. Taylor Kitsch was fantastic.
