I just play on whatever the default is. I'm not sure if I still enjoy playing games on my own though.

Depends on the game. If it`s a shooter or something I`ll take it on on normal, but if it`s more story driven, like KOTOR, I`ll do it on easy. Wasn`t interested in the the D20 stuff so didn`t want to spend too much time fiddling with technical gubbins when I had Jedi to hunt.

I've only moved up to normal once. I loved King of Colosseum 2 so much, I wanted to experience every aspect of it.

Am I a sissy cos of that? If you are, we're gonna have to start a sissy club, cause I do the same thing. I want to learn the ins and outs of the game before I start playing it. With settings of: EASY MEDIUM HARD THERE GOES YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE Why jump to the last setting first? I don't have time for a heart attack. Just tryin' to enjoy myself.

Depends on the game. Nowadays I tend to go for normal to hard setting at the start. Except for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. That game's impossible on normal, so I always play on easy. At least that way I make it past Kordon in under an hour.

Eh. I'd say you're a sissy, but I'm a cynical jerk.
I want my games to last as long as possible, don't wanna spend $60 to blow through something half assed.
And I really don't understand how people still think Seth is hard on SF IV. Granted, the first couple of weeks I had the game he was annoying....but now I beat the game on Hard with Dan without losing a round. Absolutely no offense intended, but you must not play too many fighting games if you struggle with Seth. DL the Super SF II HD Remix and face Akuma, even on easy. You'll PRAY for Seth.
Hey, where's bigHEAD? I think I'm ready for another SF IV tournament....

yeah! i play on easiest level too! I would rather be able to see all of the games storyline then get frustrated on one part and never see then end.

I start on normal, and really try to stay there. The only times I play easy is if frustration really sets in, and I start getting pissed off. I play games as a form of escape, not to get mad.

I subscribe to the "games for fun, not work" philosophy many crappers have stated. I have a short nerd rage fuse, so I'm not going to exploit it by playing games on competition level. I also don't need a game to be super hard to feel like I've climbed a mountain. You win means, you win

depends... if i decide to play a game on easy its either that i love the storyline and want to see the ending quickly or the game is too difficult.
see: Gears of War 2.
me and my friend bought it but the hardest difficulty is locked until you beat it once.
so me and my friend played it on easy and sped through it for the most part (was still a bit of a challenge i must admit) then once we finished that we begun to do the hardest difficulty... if i hadn't played it on easy to know what was coming it would have taken me five times as long to beat.
in all i love the harder difficulty setting and i usually use it... it just gives you this great sense of accomplishment once you beat it i find
