Er...make that Saturday. Apparently there is an embargo on ROTF things hitting shelves until the 30th. Meh. Still doesn't mean stuff might not be out tomorrow I guess. But I won't hold my breath. I found that out first-hand. I went to Wal-Mart today on a whim, just to see if they had one of the two figures I need (Animated Longarm/Shockwave and Universe Vector Prime), and saw the 2 ROTF Preview figures. Naturally, I snatched them up, but at the register they wouldn't ring up, and they ended up telling me that there was a recall on them. I guess I now know why... Oooh...sounds like I'm in for an interesting trip tomorrow.

Oddly, though, I've seen plenty of ROTF toys on shelves before this; they've had some of the non-transforming toys (like walkie talkies), and I even saw some ROTF Robot Hero toys on the shelves as well a week or so ago, though I think they ended up taking those back down.

For what it's worth, I also really liked the Transformers movie. My only complaint was too much focus on the humans compared to robots beating the shit out of each other (and not enough focus on Megan Fox on top of that!). And the shaky cam. But other than those two minor complaints, it was a great popcorn film.

I saw the preview for Transformers 2 at the movie theater the other week and I realized that I never saw the first one. So, when I saw that it was on HBO the other night, I decided to watch it and really enjoyed it. I thought it had a nice blend of comedy and action with some drama thrown in.
I'm looking forward to the second one, for sure.

Seriously...was the volume mixed differently in everyone's theaters so that you guys didn't hear any of the dialog?

UPDATE
I have acquired ROTF Transformers.
I got Voyager Class Optimus Prime and Decepticon Deluxe Class Sideways.
...thus far I can't figure out how to transform either ;_;

JACKPOT!
I went to Wal-Mart to get some orange juice and to see if they were going to sell the Preview figures a little early, and discovered that they were completely stocked on ROTF Wave One figures. I snatched the Deluxes, and now I'm going to go to the other Wal-Mart for a Voyager or two as well as the orange juice (which I had forgotten in my excitement).
Life is good.

It took me from around that post to now to figure out how to transform Voyager 'Prime from truck to robot mode. And now he doesn't wanna stand on my shelf due to his odd foot design.
And Sideways...oh man. =/
I wish I had gotten Bumblebee instead, at least he came pretransformed. I feel like an ass...but I never had these as a kid. I think if the instructions had words instead of pictures and arrows >.<

If you're having problems, look on Youtube. There are people on there who have reviewed many of the new toys, and you can watch those videos to see a step-by-step process of transforming some of them.

Sideways seems iffy but I'm sure eventually I'll figure him out. I know one thing, voyager Prime will friggin tower over him. That thing hid it's size really well in vehicle form, he's a hoss.

Out of curiosity... why did you choose to buy only Sideways and Voyager Optimus Prime?

It's odd, the first movie got me into transformers and I have a lot of the toys, but I just can't seem to like the new toys for ROTF. After collecting Animated the new movie toys just don't do it for me, with the exception of leader prime who looks great.

I was actually pretty "meh" about the Animated line, myself, until I took a look at Jazz and Soundwave.
Some of the ROTF designs just look awesome to me. Knockout and Sideswipe in particular may just be two of my favorite Transformers from the past few lines.

I got 'em all figured out. Can't wait to own some more of these. I'm digging all of the designs so far, Sideways looks a little odd in robot mode but what can ya do, all of the Decepticons have odd designs in robot mode it seems.

I actually need to go back out and see if I can find the 4 Scout class figures that are supposed to have been released.
And yeah, the Decepticons tend to have pretty odd designs, but I read that this was intentional, as they wanted them to seem more alien. All I know, though, is that one of the Constructicons looks somewhat centaurish, and that's just awesome.

The one which broke me was Leader Megatron. I never got the movie leader megs beacuse he was so crappy so I needed one to oppose Movie leader Prime. After that I bought a few more animated toys, and now I have nearly 20. I expect the new movie toys will grow on me as well, though I kind of hope not for my wallet's sake.

update >_<
I purchased Voyager Starscream, Deluxe Bumblebee, and got a new phone yesterday, Blackberry 8300, which officially has a Decepticon theme (plays the signal hacking noise from the movie and makes the transforming noise for text and has the Decepticon head logo as the home screen).
It's been an expensive weekend.
Plastic crack. It kills.
...wallets.
